Bit is a sweet, fun, well behaved gal! She loves other dogs, is cat friendly, and kiddo approved. She is potty trained, smart, and curious and will be a great new family member. She is going to be a great partner for your summertime adventures and has all of the makings of a new best friend. Bit is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. Story
One of 5 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation where more went to other rescues. Lyle and his siblings lived in squalor in Visalia CA until the owner died and they were pulled out by animal control officers in Hazmat suits! It was gross! The dogs had dreadfully long nails, live fleas feasting on the pups and skin conditions to show it. None was fixed and all were frightened but all love affection and were actually socialized to some extent. Lyle was initially fearful of humans, NEVER aggressive and now loves everyone. He was an annoying barker and still does have a voice when new people enter the room but overall he is a great and cute loving guy who you cant help but be drawn to. Housetraining needs to be monitored.but he is much better now He is such a sweet guy, volunteer favorite. Bosses the other dogs and thinks he is pretty important. Due to his fearfulness he needs a fenced yard as he has been known to bolt. Loves being help and loves slee[ong with (on) his human. He has bad breathe and always has but decent teeth so it must be his tummy. He is a very cool dog and we love him very much. His fur is thick and wavy. Adoption fee 345.

Story
Meet our adorable little guy named Mickey! We are guessing Mickey is around 10 years old, and he came to our shelter after he was found as a stray in town. When Mickey first came to our shelter, he had very long, straight, dirty hair that needed to be cleaned up. He was shaved down during his neuter and he was feeling like a new dog! Mickey is a friendly little fellow who really likes attention. He has good energy for a small guy and he likes to be with people. Mickey gets along with other dogs and he is non reactive towards cats. Sometimes, Mickey can get a little ornery when being moved around, so we think it would be best for him to go to a home with children 12 years old or older. He is a very happy little guy who deserves a loving home. His fur seems to grow back slowly, but eventually Mickey will need regular professional grooming. This is important to know about Mickey: When Mickey was neutered, we noticed he had a bulge on his back end. An ultrasound showed that he had a Perineal Hernia that required surgery to fix. Mickey did very well with his surgery and he has been cleared for adoption! We still like to add a little Miralax into Mickey's food to keep his feces a little softer and easy to pass. He is perfectly fine eating dry food mixed with a little water. Mickey also received a dental while in our care, so he had many teeth removed. We have not seen any complications since Mickey's surgery. We do recommend that he has a set up steps to get up and down off of couches or beds. He will try to jump off and land very hard, smacking his face on the ground. If you are interested in adopting Mickey Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! His adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org
