They were living in truly deplorable conditions—but these babies are now safe and getting the chance to discover just how wonderful life can be. And Trevor? This boy knows he’s handsome. * Sweet * Curious * Engaging * Tiny * Ridiculously adorable * Those body wiggles! * And apparently… a future supermodel. Seriously, Trevor has the kind of face that makes you stop scrolling—and once that tiny body start wiggling, game over. He’s sweet, interactive, and ready to charm his way straight into someone’s heart. **Meet Maple! 🍁🐾** Small in stature, big on sweetness, and sporting the most irresistible little face, Maple is ready to find a family to call her own! Maple is a young, Dachshund-type mix who came to SDBP CT Rescue after being found as a stray and going unclaimed at Animal Control. She became our very first official Animal Control pull, and this little girl has already stolen quite a few hearts! Maple is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl, but she can be shy and timid when meeting new people or encountering unfamiliar situations. Once she begins to feel comfortable and realizes she's safe, her affectionate personality starts to shine through. She's the kind of dog who needs someone willing to earn her trust rather than rush her into situations she isn't quite ready for. **🍁 What we've learned about Maple so far:** Maple seems to enjoy the company of calmer dogs who respect her personal space. She can become uncomfortable when overly energetic or pushy dogs approach her too quickly, so any potential canine siblings would need to be thoughtfully matched and introduced at her pace. She's currently settling into her foster home, where we're continuing to learn more about her personality, preferences, and what makes her feel comfortable. **🏡 Maple's ideal forever home** We're looking for a patient, loving family who understands that building trust takes time. A relatively calm, predictable environment where Maple can settle in, establish a routine, and gain confidence would be wonderful for her. She may do well with another calm, respectful dog, but she could also enjoy being someone's one-and-only little companion. Her compatibility with cats and young children has not yet been established. Most importantly, Maple needs someone who will appreciate her for exactly who she is and give her the time and reassurance she needs to blossom. **❤️ Adoption information** Maple is currently completing her veterinary care and will be spayed before adoption. Welcome Bonnie to CCPAL Rescue. Bonnie is a 4.5 pound Chiweenie. That is Dashchund/Chihuahua. She is 10 weeks old. She has a beautiful fade coloration from tan to black. She has a little longer body and one down and one sideways ear. She is good in a crate, likes to be held. She is learning the wee pad and gets toys and treats from our adopters. She will get grooming and nail trims at the rescue so she will be fine with that. She would be a great dog for a lover of this breed. A smaller yard would be fine. Dashchund and Chihuahua are typically vocal but if you raise as a puppy and correct her by saying “no” this should help as an adult. She would be fine in a doggy daycare as she is very social. People who have had this breed love it for the loyalty to their human. She is getting spayed and all her vaccinations at the Rescue. She is ready for her forever home. She would be best in a home with someone that doesn’t work all day every day, as she will need to finish up her puppy training. She would also be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is currently in the CCPAL Rescue in Texas. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200 to move her to another state. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Welcome Clover to CCPAL Rescue. Clover is a 4.5-pound Chiweenie. She happens to look more Dashchund than Chihuahua. That is Dashchund/Chihuahua. She is 10 weeks old. She has a fawn coat that is a little longer than the typical short coat. She has a little longer body and both ears hang long and low. She is good in a crate, likes to be held. She is learning the wee pad and gets toys and treats from our adopters. She will get grooming and nail trims at the rescue so she will be fine with that. She would be a great dog for a lover of this breed. A smaller yard would be fine. Dashchund and Chihuahua are typically vocal but if you raise as a puppy and correct her by saying “no” this should help as an adult. She would be fine in a doggy daycare as she is very social. Right now, I would say she is very sweet and very cuddly. People who have had this breed love it for the loyalty to their human. She is getting spayed and all her vaccinations at the Rescue. She is ready for her forever home. She would be best in a home with someone that doesn’t work all day everyday as she will need to finish up her puppy training. She would also be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older due to her small size and trusting nature. A house with less stairs and less split levels would be best for her. She is currently in the CCPAL Rescue in Texas. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Welcome Maverick to CCPAL Foster Program. Maverick is a 4-year-old Chiweenie. He weighs about 19 pounds. He is good on a leash, good in a car. He is potty trained and very loyal to his person. He knows “go for a walk”, “stop”, “leave it”, “It’s the neighbor” and a few other commands. He is in a home and the owner is having some very big financial issues and need to find Maverick a new home. Maverick has some allergies to food and the food that he can is a Duck and Potato kibble. He has some allergies to grass. He has take Apoquel successfully to handle the allergies. He warms up slowly and is very loyal and bonded once he has bonded. He would be great for a senior couple or single wanting a companion. A nice yard for him to get exercise in would be nice or someone that could have the time to take him on a couple of walks would be great. He isn’t the social butterfly that some dogs are so a matching owner would be the best fit. He would be a great dog to alert you to someone at the door or something being off in the environment. He is good on walks and would help a senior be more active. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. He could go with children but we would like them to be teens. I think a quieter home would be best for this boy. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200.
