Meet Quinoa!Quinoa is a teeny tiny pint-sized gremlin seeking his forever family who will let him thrive in his gremlin ways.Quinoa is some sort of chihuahua mix and we're estimating that he's about three years old. He's just under 8lbs so we weren't kidding when we said that he's pint-sized. Unfortunately, Quinoa was found as a stray and an owner never came forward for him so here he is...ready and willing to snatch your heart and run away with it.This guy is what we like to call fake-shy. For all of about three seconds upon meeting someone new, he acts suspicious as hell...and then he's immediately fine and his usual weirdo (said with affection) self. He does not seem to know cues - if you tell him to sit, he stands up and dances on his hind legs. He's fine on a leash mainly because he's so tiny but he does have the tendency to be a tripping hazard so might not be best for people who aren't steady on their feet.Quinoa does well with other dogs but can give off "annoying little brother" energy so other dogs should be at least tolerant. He does also have some dominant tendencies which apparently spill over onto cats as well so any cats in the home should ALSO be tolerant or just do their own thing. Kids 10+ because he's so tiny and we also don't know if he's ever been around small children.If you've got room in your life for a tiny little weirdo, Quinoa is probably for you.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Meet Pip!Pip is a good boy who is just overwhelmed by the world. He's still trying to figure out his place in it which can be difficult when you're in a brand new environment surrounded by unfamiliar people and other animals. There are a lot of new sounds and smells and when you're already a timid guy, it can be a lot.Pip is a young guy at about 18mo. We genuinely have no idea what breeds went into making this guy. He's about 26lbs and he is full grown - he's like a tall dachshund. There is also probably some hound in there as well. He is VERY barky at first so apartments/shared walls may not be the best environment for him.Pip will need someone patient. He so desperately wants to be loved but he lacks the confidence and the security to actively seek it out. As previously mentioned, he will BARK HIS HEAD OFF but then just suddenly sit next to you quietly. Once he's comfortable with you and once he trusts you, he is a big goof - he's eager to jump up on you and he's eager to show off his "sit"! He's actually pretty good on a leash, loves plush toys and tennis balls, and takes treats very gently - we love a boy with manners.He does do well with other dogs and a more confident, outgoing dog may help him build up some confidence of his own. Right now, he is absolutely terrified of cats - we will retest him when he's settled in a bit more to see if that sticks.
