With her gentle nature, laid-back personality, and adorable goofy streak, Rita has perfected the art of enjoying life's simple pleasures. This lovely little lady is happiest when she's stretched out in a sunny spot for an afternoon nap, curled up beside her favorite person for cuddles, or settling in for a cozy Netflix marathon. Rita is a world-class snuggler who believes that pets, affection, and snacks are among life's greatest treasures—and honestly, she's not wrong. Rita has a calm, easygoing personality that makes her a wonderful companion. She currently lives in a foster home with other dogs and mostly ignores them, preferring to do her own thing. Because of her relaxed demeanor, she would be perfectly happy as your one and only pet or sharing her home with other gentle, respectful canine companions. If you're looking for a loyal friend who will happily keep you company through lazy Sundays, afternoon naps, and late-night binge-watching sessions, Rita is ready to fill that role with grace, charm, and a little bit of Pumpernickel-powered silliness. Senior dogs like Rita have a special kind of magic—they know how to love deeply, appreciate every moment, and remind us to slow down and enjoy the sunshine. Rita is being fostered in Houston, TX.
