Story
Tanner is an estimated 1-year-old pup weighing under 40 pounds with long skinny legs, a stunning brindle coat, and a personality full of life. This happy boy is still very puppy-like, always ready to play and carry around his favorite toys. He walks nicely on a leash and loves spending time with people. Sadly, Tanner’s story started with heartbreak after he was found tied to a log in the woods of a city park. Despite that, he has stayed upbeat, affectionate, and eager for a fresh start. Tanner is ready to leave his past behind and find a family that will love him the way he deserves.

Story
Tucker is an approximately 2½-year-old hound mix looking for the right home and the right fit. He is affectionate with his people, intelligent, playful, and loves being active and outdoors. He thrives when he has structure, consistency, exercise, and clear boundaries.Like many young, high-energy dogs, Tucker can become overstimulated and impulsive at times. After extensive effort and training attempts, we have learned he would do best as the only pet in the home with an experienced owner who understands strong-willed or active breeds and is committed to continued structure and guidance.A fenced-in yard is necessary for Tucker, as he enjoys having space to run and burn energy. He is house trained, very people-oriented, and has a lot of potential in the right environment. This has been an extremely difficult decision for our family, and we are committed to finding Tucker a safe, loving home where he can truly succeed.

Story
Bernie was my son’s dog. She was a rescue from a reservation in Arizona. She is 6 years old, sweet, completely housetrained, not at all destructive when left alone. We have been keeping her but she does not get along with our cat Cecil who is 8 years old. She loves going on walks, loves other dogs. As often as I can I take her to off-leash in Prospect Park, she loves to run, chase or be chased by other dogs. She is a dear sweet girl but she does not like cats. We live in NYC and she is used to living in Colorado where it is less noisy and there are lots of opportunities to get outside and run. We are looking for a home for her someplace more rural, or at least with outside space, perhaps where there are other dogs so she can have a friend or two. She might be fine with children but we don’t really know as we are in our 60s and it was just her and our son. We will not give her up unless we find a place where she could have a better life with someone kind who has more space.

Story
Smidge is a little over 2 yrs old. Born December 2023 in a litter of 8. Smidge is skittish but loves attention & will be best in a home with no other pets. Smidge shares a home with her sister. She has become aggressive with her sister to the point of fighting. Due to a living situation where an additional 2 dogs are now in the home, she is hyper fixated on her sister she shared a home with. Smidge has a history of nipping. Thankfully, she has not fully bitten someone, if that makes sense. As stated, she can be super loving & loves affection. She is on an outside & feeding schedule, which she is very serious about. Lol. Minimal leash experience but has been exposed & did well. I have a backyard so it was just convenient. Does not have accidents in the home. She’s a great dog, pretty quiet. Her aggressive behavior towards her sister has become very, very concerning. I am distraught having to go this route but I feel it’s what is best for Smidge. Thank you.
