Story
Rusty is andog that was abandoned on the side of the road. We saw him and when we stopped he jumped in the car. Upon inspection he was covered with fleas, malnourished, had puncture wounds in his ears, mange and I believe he has heartworm. We brought him home cleaned him up and we have cleared up the fleas, mange, and he is now pleasing plumper. He has slowed down on the cough but still there. He does not get along with my other male dog and they fight. He is such a love bug but I don't have the money for vet costs for vaccines and heart worm treatment. He really deserves a chance for a happy life. I honestly believe his last owners abused him so only adopters who will love him please ❤️

Chuck is a super sweet boy. He loves people, snuggles and small stuffed toys. Chuck loves people and other small dogs but is content to spend time on his own if needed. He gets along well with other dogs his size and energy level. Chuck isn't a huge fan of the great outdoors. He thinks he belongs indoors, unless he has to go potty, or a car ride is involved. One of Chuck's ears has some damaged cartilage that makes it a little wonky, but it doesn't bother him. We think it adds to his character.Chuck is estimated to be around 5 years old, he is housebroken, fully vetted and heartworm negative. He was found wandering a neighborhood in Conroe TX. Sadly, efforts to locate his family failed.
