Story
I acquired Oreo from BARC shelter 3 years ago as a companion for another dog. She's approximately 10yrs old. She's very loving, likes to cuddle but does not like small children; hugging, pulling, etc. She enjoys playing with chew toys as well. Due to a change in work schedule, my dogs stay with my girlfriend who has her granddaughter, but since she's not good with kids, here we are. Oreo is housebroken, but needs frequent breaks outside. If someone chooses to take her, please be able to spend time with her and love her.

Story
Would like Tinkerbell and Cain to go together to a home that will have more time to spend with them. They are Brother and Sister both are "lapdogs" when they want attention usually in the evening. They are so loveable. Would prefer a home with older people who can give them the attention and love they deserve.

Story
Nina and her sister Pinta were rescued from the dog pound. We believe these adorable girls are chihuahua/dachshund/pug mixes (the curly tails coming from the pug). Both girls have very soft fur. Nina has a bit of blue in one eye so there is something else in the mix. They are young, probably between one and two years of age. At 19 pounds, Nina is the larger of the two girls. Nina is very affectionate, sweet, and playful. She is a little shy but warms up quickly. She is a lapdog who loves pets and cuddles. She likes treats and will toss them around and play with them before she eats them. And we just found out that she loves snow! Nina would probably do best in a home with another small, playful dog to wrestle and play chase with. Nina is crate-trained but needs some more work with house and obedience training. Her new family should give her plenty of attention and playtime, take her on walks, and give her a lot of cuddles and affection. Nina must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and needs a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Nina is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Nina is available for adoption to approved in-state and out-of-state applicants. Her in-state adoption fee is $250, and her out-of-state adoption fee is $450, which includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to the Northeast and Pacific Northwest. Story
Pinta and her sister Nina were rescued from the dog pound. We believe they are chihuahua/dachshund/pug mixes (the curly tails come from the pug). Both girls have very soft fur and are young, probably between one and two years old. Pinta is smaller, weighing 16 pounds. The sisters occasionally get into squabbles, so we think it would be best if they went to separate homes. Pinta is very affectionate, sweet, and playful. She is more outgoing and active. Pinta is a definite lap dog and will nap on your lap or shoulder whenever you watch TV. She is very playful and loves her toys. We also just discovered she loves snow. Pinta is crate-trained but needs more work with house and obedience training. She is smart and is learning quickly. Pinta loves her people and can be an escape artist. She will not stay in her outdoor kennel because she wants to be in the house with you. She also cannot be left in the backyard when you leave because she will try to escape to follow you. Pinta must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. Pinta's new family should give her plenty of love, attention, and playtime. She must be walked on a leash and needs a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Pinta is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Pinta is positive with a low load of heartworms (we are happy to explain). She now receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. We are using the slow-kill treatment and she should test negative in 6 to 12 months. Pinta needs no special care for her heartworm treatment so she can be adopted to an approved applicant now. Pinta cannot travel on a transport to another state until she is heartworm-negative. Please email 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you would like to adopt this adorable little girl. Story
BORN ADVENTURER  DOB 12/14/24, estimated adult weight ~25-30 lbs. Hey there, everyone! I'm Hedy (as in Hedy Lamarr), an energetic, playful, and surprisingly cuddly Dachshund/ Labrador mix gal with mesmerizing pale green eyes. I’m a real people dog, and, when I’m tuckered out from puppy playtime, I’m happy to fall asleep cradled in my foster pawrents’ arms. I have an adventurous streak and am a confident explorer. In fact, when I was just hours old, I tried to climb through the wire crate and got my head stuck. (Hence, I was named for “Hedy” Lamarr, which started my foster pawrents’ naming the rest of my litter for vintage movie stars.) My 15-pound Basenji/ Dachshund mix momma Bruni followed my foster pawrents home from a walk; they invited her inside; and several weeks later, she birthed my #movie-star litter in foster care! My long legs, speed while running, and brown coat all indicate that perhaps my dad was a Chocolate Lab. Since he must've been bigger than Bruni, I'll likely weigh about 25-30 pounds when I'm full grown. What sets me apart from my siblings? Well, I was the first to enjoy walking on a leash. I’m the quickest to run to the door so I can come back inside. I’m an attentive listener and very intelligent, so I’ve already learned a few basic commands like “come” and “sit.” I also know what I want and don’t want to do, so I grumble more than my siblings when I’m made to move when that’s not on my agenda. Now I’m ready to bring joy and fun into my forever home. If you're a family who will welcome a born adventurer who’s always ready for playtime, I'm the gal for you! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to cover your face with mushy puppy kisses. HOPE ID D25-0120-0008 If you are interested in Hedy and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at  Lisagilchrist16@gmail.com  and a volunteer will get back to you. April 8, 2025, 12:13 am
