I found George and his brother Romeo (I named them) in the middle of the street on Upper Lake on my way to work. Of course I couldn't leave them out there. I put them in my car and took them to Cityvet in Kingwood to get scanned for a microchip. They didn't have one. I hung posters and posted them in social media. No one ever claimed them. I've been caring for them for about 3 months now. They split their time between the garage and the backyard. Unfortunately, this arrangement will no longer be an option in the summer months. I have since taken them to the vet, all shots are up to date with paperwork. They're almost 7 months old. They're super sweet and playful. I would love to keep them, but I have 2 dogs already 1 of which is highly dog reactivate. Please, help me find these babies a loving forever home.

This sweet girl is understandably scared and nervous as she tries to make sense of a world that is completely new to her. With patience, consistency, and kindness, China will need time to learn that she is finally safe. China has completed her initial vetting and heartworm treatment and is continuing to heal and gain confidence. She is a bigger girl and will benefit from a little “Weight Watchers” to help her lose a few extra pounds as she settles into a healthier routine. Heartworm Prevention is given on the 22nd of each monthNugget is a truly sweet little dog whose quirks are well understood and very manageable. He has limited hearing and vision, so he experiences the world mostly through his sense of smell and moves through his environment slowly and thoughtfully. He enjoys calm walks, sunny afternoons outside, and cuddling in your lap. Nugget can be shy at first and may express nervousness with a soft crying bark, but once he feels safe, he responds warmly to affection with tail wags and excitement. He sometimes walks in gentle circles to self-soothe, happily wears a calming jacket, and is currently working on house training while wearing a belly band, which he tolerates well. Nugget has lived successfully in a home for extended periods and does well with small dogs, including his foster siblings Duncan the dachshund and Sophie the Chiweenie, though he remains afraid of large dogs. He sleeps, eats, and settles easily into a predictable routine, takes his prescribed steroid medication without issue, and thrives with patience and consistency. Update: Nugget has returned to CTDR through no fault of his own and will begin his vetting process before heading to a foster home. Nugget will do best with a calm, understanding family who can appreciate his gentle nature and embrace his manageable quirks.
