Story
Rusty is andog that was abandoned on the side of the road. We saw him and when we stopped he jumped in the car. Upon inspection he was covered with fleas, malnourished, had puncture wounds in his ears, mange and I believe he has heartworm. We brought him home cleaned him up and we have cleared up the fleas, mange, and he is now pleasing plumper. He has slowed down on the cough but still there. He does not get along with my other male dog and they fight. He is such a love bug but I don't have the money for vet costs for vaccines and heart worm treatment. He really deserves a chance for a happy life. I honestly believe his last owners abused him so only adopters who will love him please ❤️

Story
Nina and her sister Pinta were rescued from the dog pound. We believe these adorable girls are chihuahua/dachshund/pug mixes (the curly tails coming from the pug). Both girls have very soft fur. Nina has a bit of blue in one eye so there is something else in the mix. They are young, probably between one and two years of age. At 19 pounds, Nina is the larger of the two girls. Nina is very affectionate, sweet, and playful. She is a little shy but warms up quickly. She is a lapdog who loves pets and cuddles. She likes treats and will toss them around and play with them before she eats them. And she loves snow! Nina would be content as an only dog, or in a home with another dog with a similar temperament and playstyle. Nina is crate-trained but needs some more work with house and obedience training. Her new family should give her plenty of attention and playtime, take her on walks, and give her a lot of cuddles and affection. Nina must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and needs a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Nina is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Nina is available for adoption to approved in-state and out-of-state applicants. Her in-state adoption fee is $250, and her out-of-state adoption fee is $450, which includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to the Northeast and Pacific Northwest. Story
Pinta and her sister Nina were rescued from the dog pound. We believe they are chihuahua/dachshund/pug mixes (the curly tails come from the pug). Both girls have very soft fur and are young, probably between one and two years old. Pinta is smaller, weighing 16 pounds. The sisters occasionally get into squabbles, so we think it would be best if they went to separate homes. Pinta is very affectionate, sweet, and playful. She is more outgoing and active. Pinta is a definite lap dog and will nap on your lap or shoulder whenever you watch TV. She is very playful and loves her toys. We also just discovered she loves snow. Pinta is crate-trained but needs more work with house and obedience training. She is smart and is learning quickly. Pinta loves her people and can be an escape artist. She will not stay in her outdoor kennel because she wants to be in the house with you. She also cannot be left in the backyard when you leave because she will try to escape to follow you. Pinta must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. Pinta's new family should give her plenty of love, attention, and playtime. She must be walked on a leash and needs a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Pinta is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Pinta is positive with a low load of heartworms (we are happy to explain). She now receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. We are using the slow-kill treatment and she should test negative in 6 to 12 months. Pinta needs no special care for her heartworm treatment so she can be adopted to an approved applicant now. Pinta cannot travel on a transport to another state until she is heartworm-negative. Please email 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you would like to adopt this adorable little girl.
