Current Location: Union Bridge, MD Meet Alex: Big Personality in a Compact Package Alex is a 4-month-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with beautiful markings and enough personality to fill a room! This 16-lb chunky boy (affectionately nicknamed "Piglet" by his foster family) is friendly, bold, playful, and bursting with puppy energy. If you're looking for an interactive, social companion who will keep you entertained, Alex is your guy! This talkative little dude loves life and everything it has to offer. He's obsessed with toys and bones of all kinds and will happily fall asleep on your lap while chewing his favorite toy. He absolutely adores his foster mama and forms strong bonds with his people. Alex is great with other dogs and is learning proper doggy manners, taking correction well when he gets a little too enthusiastic. He's very food and toy motivated, which makes training a joy. He's already leash and crate trained and is currently working on "sit" and "kennel," learning very quickly thanks to his smarts and motivation. This energetic boy needs regular exercise and enrichment to keep him happy and healthy. He enjoys long walks, active play, and plenty of interaction. He's even great about nail trims with no fuss!
