Story
Hello! My name is Poppa! Meet Poppa Poppa is a lively and lovable boy with energy to spare and curiosity that never quits. He’s eager to explore the world, make new friends, and be part of the action. With his expressive eyes and playful spirit, Poppa is impossible not to adore. Energy and Personality Poppa is full of enthusiasm and thrives with daily exercise and mental stimulation. He loves long walks, active play, and time with his people. He enjoys meeting new people, gets along withcats, and has a big, friendly personality that makes him a joy to be around. Training and Behavior Poppa is house trained, knows how to sit, and comes when called. He’s food motivated, goes into his crate easily, and responds well to treats, praise, and redirection. He has been barking at the door and can get a little frantic indoors, but structure has helped him relax and learn good habits. With crate time, a small fenced-off area, and supervised play in the yard, he’s learning to settle and self-soothe. Social Life He enjoys the company of people and other dogs and is learning how to balance his excitement with calm behavior. He’s affectionate and likes being near his humans, but also benefits from clear boundaries and routines. Quirks and Special Traits Poppa has an expressive face that could melt anyone’s heart. His big, bright eyes always seem to say, “What’s next?” He’s adventurous, clever, and always up for a good time. Best Home Fit Poppa will do best with an active adopter who can offer consistent structure, exercise, and affection. A fenced yard and regular walks are ideal for him. He’s learning quickly and will thrive with guidance and attention.

Story
House trained: Mostly with an occasional accident Energy level: Medium Noise level: Quiet My foster guardian says: My favorite thing about Coco is that shes just THE CUTEST tiny baby! Likes: Snoozing, dozing, lazing about, relaxing   Hi, Im Coco! My nickname is Coco Bean, because Im sweeter than chocolate, and as tiny as a baby bean! Im 7 pounds of love and cuteness, and Im so excited to find my forever family! As any distinguished Chihuahua does, I have some specific preferences. I like to be picked up in a certain way (dont worry, youll learn how), and I like to have my harness put on in a certain way, and I like to sniff certain smells on certain routes on my walks! Some might call me a diva, but my foster mom calls me a pint-sized bundle of cuddles and says that Im the best girl ever and so easy to take care of. I promise I really am! Just a few quick walks a day are all the exercise I need, and Im very laid back and well-behaved at home. Im even crate trained, and fine to stay home alone when my people go to the office. Im looking for a family who wants a snugglebug of a pup. I like to spend most of my time resting and napping, preferably in someones bed, with my humans close by. I do get the zoomies on occasion, and like to run around on the bed with my toys. But after a quick play break, its back to napping for me! If youre looking to add a whole bunch of sweetness with a little bit of spice to your life, I might just be your cup of teaerCoco!!! Apply to adopt me today! Coco has a luxating patella and is on heart medication. Please visit our website www.ruraldogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing dog and to see other dogs available for adoption!

Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. • Rescue Story : Meet Mallow👋 This sweetheart was found wandering alone on a street in South Korea in Feb 2024. Sadly, he ended up in a high-risk shelter and on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, the rescue team stepped in just in time, giving him a second chance at life. While having heartworm treatment in a clinic, Mallow moved into his foster home in July 2024. Now, he’s ready to find his forever family! • Personality: Calm, Sweet, Shy Mallow needs a little time and space to feel comfortable, but once he does, he’ll open up beautifully. It may take patience, but winning his heart will be one of the most rewarding experiences ever! He is such a cuddle bug! • Affinity with -Cats: Not interested in cats on walks -Dogs: a huge dog-lover! Very friendly with other dogs regardless of size. He would adjust better in a home with another dog! -Adults/Kids: Good with adults. / Not a fan of kids - he would be the best fit in a home without children. • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, using pee pads indoors and going potty outdoors both. • Walking Manner: Very good on a leash! Wants to keep walks short. • Shedding: 5-6 • Food Allergies: No • Car Rides: Good • Barker or Quiet: Barks a little bit when hearing the loud noise from outside. • Separation Anxiety: He whimpers a little right after his foster family leaves home, but calms down soon. • Bathing/Brushing: Very good. • Likes & Dislikes: Loves treats, doggy friends, and cuddles! / Not a big fan of young kids • Health: Completed heartworm treatment in late 2024 and was cleared of infection by April 2025. Had a few teeth extracted this October due to root damage, but it doesn’t affect his ability to chew. Regular and thorough tooth brushing is essential. Otherwise, he’s a healthy boy! 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. 📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. 🩷 Rescue Story Lina was rescued just before euthanasia from "Jeongeup Shelter" in South Korea. Thanks to timely intervention, she was given a second chance at life and moved into foster care, where her bright and affectionate personality has truly blossomed. 🌿 Temperament & Behavior Lina is friendly and social. On walks, she shows curiosity toward other dogs and cats, but when she meets a cat, she simply sniffs briefly and walks away calmly. She gets along well with other dogs and can live in a multi-dog household. She may show a bit of jealousy at times, as many girls do, but she has never shown aggression or biting behavior. She is extremely affectionate and loves attention. She is friendly with all people, though she is especially drawn to women and seems to have a soft spot for women in their 50s. 🚶 Walking & Daily Life Lina enjoys leisurely walks with plenty of time to sniff and explore. She is always walked using a double leash for safety. Her shedding level is moderate to slightly high, about 6 out of 10. She is not picky with food and is fed high-quality kibble. Her regular diet includes Acana Free-Run Duck or Blue Buffalo Salmon. Treats are given sparingly, about once a week. 🏡 Habits & Training Lina primarily does her potty outdoors. She goes on walks in the morning and evening, ranging from one hour to sometimes up to two hours. She does well with baths. While brushing hasn’t been necessary due to her coat type, she enjoys being touched and handled. She does not show separation anxiety. When her foster returns home, she simply greets them happily with tail wags and no destructive behavior. She barks only occasionally—once when she is in a great mood, or briefly in response to loud motorcycle delivery noises. She may experience mild motion sickness on longer car rides, such as trips to nearby camping areas, but she has never vomited. 💛 Likes & Personality Lina loves walking side by side with her foster mom and truly enjoys greeting and meeting her dog friends. Her gentle nature and affectionate personality make her a joy to be around. She is currently living in a foster home. To learn more about Coco please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org At just 9 lbs, Coco may be tiny, but her giant black-and-tan ears are basically a whole personality of their own. This chihuahua mix is a pocket-sized bundle of sweetness who believes every lap was made especially for her. Coco is the kind of pup who prances instead of walks, tilts her head at every new sound, and curls up like a cinnamon roll when she naps. She may be small, but her heart is huge… and right now, it’s wishing for one thing: a warm, loving home for the holidays.

Story
To learn more about Toby, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Toby, a distinguished older gentleman, is looking for a loving companion to spend his golden years with! Toby is a friendly little guy, and wants to be near his people all the time. As an older fellow, he enjoys a lot of nap time, but out on his frequent walks, he is sprightly and spry. Toby loves people, and is also delighted with most dogs. He loves car rides, and treats (especially if his human friends want to share what they are having!). He knows to do his business outside, and is fine left on his own at home for a bit. As a pint-sized chihuahua mix, his mobility is good for his age- he can even still make the jump into his people’s bed, and keeps up a good pace on his walks. If you are looking for a relaxed, friendly, travel-sized companion, sweet Toby wants to me you!

Pint-Sized Cutie VIGGO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Viggo and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (12/21) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church (6100 - A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!     Name:  Viggo            Best Guess for Breed: Chi Mix     Best Guess for Age:  13 weeks as of 11/27            SEX: Male   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):  6lbs as of 11/27   Gets Along With:  Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations:   Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Viggo is Looking For:  Hiya! I'm Viggo! I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. When I'm a little older, I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for me? What My Foster Says About Me: Viggo is a joy! He’s very smart and is doing well with his house training. He’s learning wait, off, and is working on fetch. He’s become very playful in the two weeks that I’ve had him. In the beginning, he just wanted to observe, but now he’s an active puppy who wants to play. He has fab ears and it’s hilarious to watch him get the zoomies. He is teething. He loves socks and blankets. He looks great in sweaters and coats. He sometimes gives tiny nose kisses.  Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.      Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than February 24, 2026. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets.   Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at        www.luckydoganimalrescue.org       .
