At 9 years old and 13 pounds, Chula is proof that the best things in life come in small, perfectly seasoned packages. This sweet girl is looking for a quiet, loving home where she can enjoy the simple things in life — sunshine, interesting smells, and a person to call her own. Chula would be an especially wonderful companion for someone who is retired or looking for a calmer, easygoing best friend. She loves nothing more than finding a cozy sunny spot and basking in the warmth. But don't let her age fool you — Chula still has plenty of curiosity and personality! Give her a yard and a squirrel, and you've got entertainment! Chula enjoys chasing squirrels and loves taking her time investigating all the fascinating smells the world has to offer. She'd be happy to stroll around with her nose to the ground, taking in all the neighborhood news. Chula isn't looking for a hectic lifestyle or endless excitement. She's looking for a peaceful home, a soft place to nap in the sun, and a person who will appreciate her for the wonderful older girl she is.   Name: Bento    Age: 1-2 years old   Life Motto: You need snuggles? I got you.   Special Skill: Convincing you to stop whatever you're doing to pick him up and cuddle, snuggle or play. Alternatively, Bento accepts hanging with you on the couch or bed as acceptable options.    Bio: Bento doesn't believe in enemies, except maybe for that piece of cardboard he wants to rip apart. Aside from that, he's your ride or die. Full stop. Bento will greet you at the door when you return home (just don't leave it open too long for him to slip out), and he'll happily hang out with you as you do life, ideally right by your side as you pet him. Want to go for a walk? Let’s go! Want to toss him a toy? Go for it! How about a nap? He's ready to snooze next to you!   Bento is excellent with other dogs and is working through his feelings about cats. He goes to the bathroom outside as long as you let him out regularly. He's crate trained but might express his opinion about the crate for a few minutes until he settles in

Animal Information: Pearl is an estimated 4.5 year-old Chihuahua who arrived with her 2 week old puppies. Her puppies have weaned and been adopted, now is her turn! Foster Profile: Pearl is a sweet and lovable, though she tends to be standoffish when initially meeting new people and will bark, she will come around if given some time. She loves being with her person and is happy to just curl up on her dog bed close by while you work. She is good with resident dogs, cat and ducks. She likes to play with toys and run zoomies around the house and yard. She has learned to use the dog door, but not a fan of the rain so we do make regular visits outside on rainy days. Pea​rl will need a patient family that is willing to give her space in the beginning then she is just a lovely happy girl. If you have patience and experience with shy dogs she is loyal and loving once she trusts you. Please note that she is vocal, likes to alert the houshold whenever something is going on, because of this she would not be an ideal fit for an apartment setting. We are looking for a single family residence with a securely fenced yard. She would love a canine companion to play with but with the right home would be fine without one. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
