TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY Keke is a cutie pie kind of name. And believe it or not..my life hasn't been a "cutie pie" kind of life, until NOW! Now I am part of the cool kids ;) no hair loss, yeast infection, poor nutrition for me!!!! I am not "hoping" for food today, I have more than I need:) my foster family is just the best! So here are a few facts about me; I am great with other dogs and love a doggy friend in my furever home..no felines though...they r not my favorite friends.... I am looking forward to having my own family, one that will commit to me furever. I ended up in rescue because my mom had to go to a nursing home and none of the family wanted to take care of me...... so here I am looking for you! Don't make me wait too long!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX only)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet  Mowie , a charming Chihuahua/Terrier mix with a survival story as cool as the storm he escaped!   Born around  August 4, 2024 , and weighing in at a sturdy  15.9 pounds , Mowie is the definition of a "tough guy with a heart of gold." He was discovered hanging around the guard shack at  Randolph AFB  just as a major ice storm was rolling in. The kind-hearted guards had been sharing their lunches with him to keep him going, but they knew he needed a warm hearth to survive the freeze.   Mowie is a truly great boy who is ready to trade base security for home security. He does have one quirky "occupational hazard": he’s a bit of a serial humper when it comes to other dogs, which hasn't always won him friends at the park. However, he was  recently neutered , and we are optimistic that this will help him keep his "enthusiasm" in check as his hormones settle down.   Mowie’s Stats: Birthday:  ~08/04/2024 (approx. 1.5 years old) Weight:  15.9 lbs Background:  Air Force Base veteran & lunch-sharing expert Personality:  Resilient, social, and brave If you’re looking for a loyal companion who has been "cleared for duty," Mowie is your man! Hi there, I'm Popcorn, your friendly, goofy, gentle, curious, brave, mellow, funny, smart, playful, energetic, loyal, and a bit shy canine buddy. My journey to the shelter is quite a hilarious tale. You see, I was on a mission to dig to China from my backyard. I dug and dug until I popped up in the neighbor's yard. They were having a barbeque, and I thought, 'Why not join?' Turns out, they weren't as welcoming as I'd hoped. So, here I am, ready for new adventures with you. I'm a great listener, a superb comedian, and I promise to be the most loyal friend you'll ever have. Adopt me and let's make our own fun stories together! I'm a very outgoing boy and love playing with my kennel mates and friends. I am a little hesitant when I first meet people because I'm not sure if I can trust them. I need a quiet home where I can take my time to build confidence and trust. As you can see, I have a cherry eye.
