Once upon a time, a sweet Chihuahua found her home with an elderly couple who showered her with love. As time passed, the couple's health declined, and they faced the heart-wrenching decision to leave her in long-term vet care, as they could no longer provide the care she deserved. The vet relayed the situation to compassionate rescuers, who, luckily, stepped in to bring her to a shelter where she could find a new family.
She's a friendly Chihuahua who adores people. She welcomes strangers with open paws, inviting pets and even a cuddle. You can carry her around without a worry.
While she's typically friendly, she may become a tad uncomfortable with loud sounds and sudden movements from kids.
She gets along well with dogs of similar size, but she can feel overwhelmed by hyperactive dogs, leading to a bit of barking to express her concerns. She believes she'd thrive as an only child, relishing all the attention without the need to share.
Her energy level falls within the moderate to high range. Outdoor time is her source of relaxation, making her a calm and content indoor companion.
She might pull a bit during walks, not because she's in a rush, but because she loves to stop and explore her surroundings, taking in all the scents.
She's generous with resources, not guarding them from people. However, when other dogs get too close for comfort, she might issue a polite growl.
She's an excellent communicator. When she needs something, she'll let you know with a bark.
She prefers not to be crated in the car, as she knows how to get in and out easily.
She does both indoor and outdoor potty for now.
Having lived with a family, she's no stranger to the love and attention that comes with it. She's eager to be showered with love and ready to return the favor by being your loyal and affectionate companion. If you're prepared for some quality bonding time, she's more than ready to be spoiled and become your loving, lifelong friend.
