FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Freddie! Freddie is a 1-year-old, 13 lb Chiweenie looking for a special home where he can be the center of someone’s world. This handsome little guy is incredibly smart, affectionate, and full of personality. Once he trusts you, he’ll become your most loyal companion and happiest little shadow. Freddie is house-trained, crate-trained, and has wonderful manners in the home. In fact, every evening he’ll happily tuck himself into his crate when it’s time for bed! He’s a quick learner and is very food motivated, already knowing commands like sit, stay, come, shake, and paw, with more training already underway. He loves having a job to do and will thrive with adopters who enjoy continuing his training. When he’s not learning new tricks, Freddie loves snuggling under blankets, playing fetch with his favorite squeaky toys, chewing on antlers, and heading out for long walks or hikes. He’s always happy to tag along on adventures with his people and would love a family that includes him in their daily activities. While he may need a little encouragement getting into the car, once he’s in, he’s ready to enjoy the ride. Freddie is looking for an adult-only home with no cats or young children. While he can coexist with other dogs after slow, careful introductions, he has shown that he prefers being the only dog in the home where he doesn’t have to share his people. He can be territorial of his home and family, so he’ll need patient adopters who understand that he likes to take his time getting to know new people and visitors. Georgie is a loving little companion who enjoys being close to his people. Whether he’s snuggled up in your arms, heading out for a neighborhood walk, or joining you on an adventure, he’s happiest when he’s by your side. Georgie has done well with other dogs and would love a home with a friendly canine companion to help keep him socialized and provide a playmate. Animal Profile: Lulu was adopted in 2020 after being rescued from a high-kill shelter in California. Unfortunately, her owner passed away, so we welcomed her back into our care. Lulu arrived in rough shape, having gained so much weight she was obese, and her nails were so overgrown they were curled under and made it painful to walk. This sweet girl was put on a diet, and received a pedicure without any problems immediately at intake.  Lulu is currently in foster care with another small dog, a cat and a Golden Retriever. She is a happy girl who loves her walks and lives for snuggles. Lulu is now 7 years old, and ready to find her family.
