FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Odin! Odin is a 2-year-old, 14 lb Chiweenie who is packed with personality, charm, and goofy little dog energy! This fun-loving guy is outgoing, confident, adventurous, and always ready to be part of the action. Odin loves going on walks, exploring with his people, and joining in on daily adventures. He walks well on leash and would thrive in a home that enjoys an active, social lifestyle. Odin is quirky, silly, and affectionate with his people. Once he bonds with you, he bonds deeply and becomes a loyal little sidekick who always wants to be nearby. He does well with other dogs, though he can sometimes put on a bit of a “tough guy” act toward bigger dogs while on leash. With continued structure, guidance, and positive socialization, he’ll continue building confidence and improving his manners in those situations. Odin is looking for a home that will embrace his spunky personality, keep him active and engaged, and give him lots of love and companionship. If you’re looking for a sweet, entertaining little adventure buddy with a big personality, Odin might just be your perfect match! Oden is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. Found on the side of a Texan highway at 6 months old, Nala had a tough start to life, but after a short stretch in a foster home, she joined my family where she has been loved and cared for like nobody’s business. Nala is now 5 years old and has been with the same family since her initial adoption. She’s the SWEETEST girl & wants nothing more than to snuggle her human all day every day, but given her start in life, she can be fearful/defensive. In particular she struggles with men & children. She doesn’t like when young dogs get in her face, & she should not live with cats. Any rehoming fee is only being collected to ensure her safety, and will be donated to the shelter I adopted her from. Experience with chihuahuas and/or rescues preferred.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet  Mowie , a charming Chihuahua/Terrier mix with a survival story as cool as the storm he escaped!   Born around  August 4, 2024 , and weighing in at a sturdy  15.9 pounds , Mowie is the definition of a "tough guy with a heart of gold." He was discovered hanging around the guard shack at  Randolph AFB  just as a major ice storm was rolling in. The kind-hearted guards had been sharing their lunches with him to keep him going, but they knew he needed a warm hearth to survive the freeze.   Mowie is a truly great boy who is ready to trade base security for home security. He does have one quirky "occupational hazard": he’s a bit of a serial humper when it comes to other dogs, which hasn't always won him friends at the park. However, he was  recently neutered , and we are optimistic that this will help him keep his "enthusiasm" in check as his hormones settle down.   Mowie’s Stats: Birthday:  ~08/04/2024 (approx. 1.5 years old) Weight:  15.9 lbs Background:  Air Force Base veteran & lunch-sharing expert Personality:  Resilient, social, and brave If you’re looking for a loyal companion who has been "cleared for duty," Mowie is your man! You can apply for him at www.adoggie4you.org.  His adoption fee is $300.   This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225.
