Found on the side of a Texan highway at 6 months old, Nala had a tough start to life, but after a short stretch in a foster home, she joined my family where she has been loved and cared for like nobody’s business. Nala is now 5 years old and has been with the same family since her initial adoption. She’s the SWEETEST girl & wants nothing more than to snuggle her human all day every day, but given her start in life, she can be fearful/defensive. In particular she struggles with men & children. She doesn’t like when young dogs get in her face, & she should not live with cats. Any rehoming fee is only being collected to ensure her safety, and will be donated to the shelter I adopted her from. Experience with chihuahuas and/or rescues preferred.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet  Mowie , a charming Chihuahua/Terrier mix with a survival story as cool as the storm he escaped!   Born around  August 4, 2024 , and weighing in at a sturdy  15.9 pounds , Mowie is the definition of a "tough guy with a heart of gold." He was discovered hanging around the guard shack at  Randolph AFB  just as a major ice storm was rolling in. The kind-hearted guards had been sharing their lunches with him to keep him going, but they knew he needed a warm hearth to survive the freeze.   Mowie is a truly great boy who is ready to trade base security for home security. He does have one quirky "occupational hazard": he’s a bit of a serial humper when it comes to other dogs, which hasn't always won him friends at the park. However, he was  recently neutered , and we are optimistic that this will help him keep his "enthusiasm" in check as his hormones settle down.   Mowie’s Stats: Birthday:  ~08/04/2024 (approx. 1.5 years old) Weight:  15.9 lbs Background:  Air Force Base veteran & lunch-sharing expert Personality:  Resilient, social, and brave If you’re looking for a loyal companion who has been "cleared for duty," Mowie is your man! Greetings, Muggles! My name is Sphynxee, but around here they sometimes call me Dobby's long-lost cousin because of my adorable oversized ears. Seriously, if you've ever wanted your very own house elf, I might be the next best thing! My foster family believes I spent most of my life outdoors, so the magical world of living inside a house has been a brand-new adventure. At first, things like couches, crates, and all the strange human routines seemed as mysterious as the Room of Requirement. But I'm a clever witch-in-training and have been learning quickly! I've already mastered my crate, walk beautifully on a leash, and absolutely love exploring every corner of my kingdom.
