Story
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. To see more pictures of this dog, please visit our Facebook page and look under “photos” and then “albums”. A 30ish pound, 6-year-old female Super Mutt, Sheba arrived to Smidget pregnant. Having done a great job raising her pups, she’s now ready to bring dances of joy and lots of cuddles to her forever home. She is delighted to run with you, play ball, or lounge on the couch. She is loyal, eager to please, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Sheba’s energy levels are high and would be too much for a home with small children. In addition to normal barking, she will make a series of high-pitched noises when triggered by something such as a strange dog. Very smart and food-motivated, she responds well to training. New people are a challenge for her, and she will take some time—and treats—to warm up to them. To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. For a list of scheduled events go to: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/events . Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Additional pictures of adoptable dogs can be seen at: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/photos_stream?tab=photos_albums. All adoptable dogs are spayed or neutered at 6 months of age or older. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. APPLICATIONS CAN BE OBTAINED BY EMAIL ONLY. Adoption process includes application, meet & greet, home visit and reference check. Email Jamie at smidgetrescue@hotmail.com or click on the CONTACT link on this page. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BEFORE SENDING. 8632781We get a fair number of incorrect emails and Jamie is not able to contact potential adopters. Notice: We do not ship dogs out of state. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.

Story
HI - I'M BOBO! I'm a beautiful, sweet, gentle, mellow 8-1/2-year-old female Chow Chow mix currently in a foster home in Washington, where I enjoy my days lounging around, going for short walks, and hanging out with other dogs and cats. I originally was rescued from a crowded California shelter, where I was brought in with a another dog. I'm in good health except for some arthritis, but glucosamine treats help me greatly. I cannot do a lot of stairs so a house that can accommodate me would be greatly appreciated. I'm a lovebug and my favorite thing to do is hang out with my person or people, and go for short walks. Would you like to meet me? Please email for an application. I weigh 78 lbs.

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to SEA💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. 💙 Name: Kuma 💙 Gender: Male 💙 Age: Estimated 2 years old (Born April 2024) 💙 Weight: 11.7 kg (approx. 26 lbs) 💙 ADOGS Instagram (KR): @adogs 💙 English Profile: @_adogs_rescue 1. Medical History - Neuter Status: Completed - Microchip: Registered (Internal chip completed) - Other Notes: Heartworm retest scheduled (December 2026) Giardia completely cured 2. Rescue Story Kuma was staying at the Gimje Shelter, quietly enduring his loneliness. Unable to leave him behind in an environment so highly vulnerable to infectious diseases, ADOGS stepped in urgently to rescue Kuma and give him a chance at a safe life. 3. Personality & Characteristics - Interaction with Humans: He is very fearful and tends to keep his distance from people. He runs away from strangers and does not allow physical touch. He avoids being handled even by familiar faces. Extreme caution is needed when trying to put on his leash, as his fear can trigger defensive nipping. - Interaction with Dogs: He coexists peacefully and seamlessly with other dogs without showing much interest in them. He has shown absolutely no aggression toward his dog friends. - Interaction with Cats: He has not encountered any cats yet. - Separation Anxiety: Since he is currently living in a group environment at the shelter, it is difficult to assess. He will need structured training from the beginning once he transitions to a home. - Potty Training: He currently utilizes both indoor and outdoor potty areas at the shelter. He does not have a habit of marking. - Grooming & Hygiene: He has no prior experience with formal grooming routines yet. - Leash Walking: When a walk is attempted, he tends to bite and chew on the leash. He will need patient guidance and leash training. - Motion Sickness: He has shown no signs of car sickness during short-distance rides. - Biting/Aggression: He gets highly tense and evades whenever people approach. Because he is unfamiliar with human touch, attempting to pet him can lead to defensive snapping. On one occasion at the shelter, when handlers had to catch him to put him back into his kennel, he made warning snaps and then bit hard enough to leave marks on the handler's hand. Experienced and careful handling is strictly required. - Barking: He is very quiet and has not shown any barking or whining behavior at the shelter, though training may be needed if his habits shift in a home environment. - Dislikes: He actively avoids people. He feels highly uncomfortable when humans come too close or try to touch him. - Personality: Kuma is a very timid, fearful, and wary boy. Because of his deeply cautious nature, his future family must give him plenty of space and take things very slow to build trust over time.

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to SEA💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. 💙 Name: Chako 💙 Gender: Female 💙 Age: Estimated 2 years old (Born in March 2024) 💙 Weight: 13 kg / 28.66 lb 💙 Adogs News Account: @adogs_check.ho 1️⃣ Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped, heartworm negative, and currently undergoing treatment for hepatozoonosis. * Hepatozoonosis is a tick-borne disease transmitted through the ingestion of infected ticks. While a complete cure is generally difficult, targeted treatment is effective in managing and mitigating symptoms. Has successfully completed all 4 rounds of her bi-weekly injection therapy and is currently taking oral medication. A follow-up evaluation will be conducted once her medication course is finished to assess her status. 2️⃣ Rescue Story * Chako entered the Gimje City Shelter when she was just a young puppy. Although the shelter was the only world she had ever known, she never lost her profound love and trust for humans. Deeply concerned about her long-term health after spending two years in such a harsh environment, Adogs urgently stepped in to rescue her. 3️⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is remarkably friendly and well-mannered; will sit patiently and politely even when surrounded by strangers. Once she becomes familiar with a handler, she reveals her sweet side—nuzzling her face forward and actively begging for affection. Is exceptionally fond of children and gets along with them wonderfully. * With Dogs: Exhibits excellent manners around other dogs, approaching them gently and politely to sniff and greet them. During walks, she generally remains indifferent to unfamiliar dogs. * With Cats: Shows a natural tendency to chase cats encountered during walks; however, she is highly responsive to her handler and immediately stops when corrected. * Separation Anxiety: Handles alone time beautifully, contentedly spending her time sleeping or quietly playing with her toys. * Potty Training: Is currently practicing strict outdoor elimination, going out twice a day at her current foster home. Notably, she also used potty pads perfectly on her very first day at the foster home. * Hygiene: Is highly cooperative with baths, brushing, and paw pad trims. However, she remains slightly fearful of the loud noise from the blow dryer. * Walks: Is an excellent walking companion who stays right by the handler's side—so much so that the handler must shorten the leash to prevent it from dragging on the ground. Matches her pace beautifully with the handler and stops calmly whenever the handler stops. While she may try to pursue cats, she yields quickly to verbal boundaries and shows no significant reactivity to other dogs, birds, or children. * Car Sickness: Displays symptoms of motion sickness, including hypersalivation, during car rides. However, her anxiety and symptoms are significantly alleviated when a companion sits beside her and gently pets her. * Has never shown any signs of biting or snapping. * Is completely unfazed by doorbells or external corridor noises. Only emits light, playful barks when she gets exceptionally excited while playing with her canine friends. * Genuinely adores people, other dogs, and treats. * Is startled by the loud noises of vacuum cleaners and hair dryers. * Knows the "Sit" command and exhibits an excellent, reliable recall indoors. * Has a deeply gentle, calm, and mature disposition. Handles veterinary examinations with impressive composure. At her foster home, she spends most of her day resting quietly or chewing on her toys, saving her vibrant energy exclusively for playtime with her resident dog friend.
