FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Hi, I'm Astro, a 8-year-old Chow/Lab mix. Don't let my serious face fool you, I'm a goofy sweet guy! I like to get to know my people slowly, but once I do I love your pets and scratches and I'll even sit in your lap! I'm very food motivated and guard my food and toys with growls and can be stubborn. I love to go for walks and walk well on a leash. I know lots of commands (sit, stay, up, down, lay down, shake, wait, let's go) and love performing for treats. I was recently in a foster home and here are some of my likes/dislikes that they shared about me… Like: food!, exercise/walks and agility, butt scratches, sleeping in my crate, chewing my toys, watching out the window, music, water, other dogs, comfy beds, getting baths Don't like: brushes, towels and loud trucks Astro would do best as the only dog in a house without kids or other small animals since he can be protective and is strong. He will need a family familiar with protection breeds like chows. Astro is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His fee is $200.

Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE. Story
Greetings, I'm Buster, although you can call me Buster Brown - it suits me just fine. I've got a unique, burnt orange and brown coat that makes me stand out in a crowd. You might say I'm a medium-sized fellow, weighing in at around 70 pounds, and I've got a personality to match. I'm a mix with some Chow in me, which gives me that adorable square face that's just begging for a smooch. While I might come off as a little reserved at first, it doesn't take long for me to become your best friend. I've got a soft, fluffy coat that's incredibly cozy, and I'm a fan of Dr. Seuss's tales. As for my past, it hasn't always been smooth. I came to the pound with some nasty injuries on my back end, likely from a car accident. But I've healed up wonderfully and put those tough times behind me. Now, I'm all about finding a forever family to love. I'm good with people and get along with other dogs. Whether it's in a crate, on a leash, or just hanging out in the house, I'm a breeze to have around. I'd prefer a home with older kids, as I can be a bit shy with people right up in my face. If you're looking for a loyal companion to share your days with, look no further. I promise, we'll make each other's dreams come true. So, let's make a date - I'm ready for my next adventure with you! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay, PayPal, or cash. Beautiful Jiyong was born at Kong Kong shelter in Korea. He was lively & full of joy & happiness as a puppy, but sadly life at the shelter rendered him timid & scared. He spent all of the beginning of his life/time confined to a cage in the shelter which is extremely sad & heartbreaking, but alive. Unfortunately he was living in filth & a mass group setting where everyone was fed together. Another situation of survival of the fittest to eat. But thankfully he was rescued out of the shelter by a truly amazing rescuer & was put into a foster home in Korea where the real work began. It took his foster mum in Korea roughly 2 months to get Jiyong feeling comfortable with her & then started bonding with her. His foster mum did such a big turn around for Jiyong while in Korea but as it happens so often no one was willing to open their homes & hearts to Jiyong be his forever family & we were asked could we help him find his devoted forever home. Jiyong was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Jiyong was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. What an absolutely brutal way for a puppy to start out his precious life in a shelter & start growing up there. Sometimes it’s just not fair. But that’s where that horrible story ends for him. His foster mum & dad said, we have been fostering Jiyong for nearly a year. He is a sweet, shy soul, and it's taken a long time for his personality to start to come out. He needs a forever home that is willing to be patient, loving, and consistent as he continues to become comfortable with family life. He absolutely loves to be outside, & will likely bond with his family on walks more than hanging out at home. He also loves to go the dog park, he's friendly & sociable with other dogs, & he loves the excuse to run his little heart out. He would do great in a home with other dogs, he's not been exposed to cats in his current foster home. In Korea he was exposed to cats & would chase them at first but once he knew the cat he would lose interest & just exist together. He's still shy and cautious at home. Sudden movements will send him scurrying, small children may be tricky for him in this regard. He also really does not like to be picked up, his family will have to build trust before he’ll accept being corralled like that. Despite his nervousness, he's not shown an ounce of aggression, either with dogs or people. He will timidly investigate friends when they visit, & receive a little pet, but any sharp movement and he's off to whatever space he deems safe. The shyness & anxiety have improved quite a bit over time, & will continue to improve, but he may always be something of a reserved dog. He really likes having his own safe space. He uses a dog bed in the living room and sleeps under our bed at night. He would likely do well with a cozy crate in the bedroom.  Outside of his exuberance when getting ready for a walk, he is relatively quiet, rarely showing signs of barking, though that may change as he gets more confident. He also has no trouble going in a crate, for example on car rides we use a crate for safety.  His health is great. He does have some sort of allergy which causes mostly his left eye to water a bit, however he does not mind receiving eye drops at all, and we've recently shifted his food to see if helps. He has a good appetite for meals, though he's still cautious about taking treats from our hands (unless it's steak or cheese!). Having seen him through one winter, his coat became thick and luxurious during the cold months, and he shed quite a bit for a few weeks in early spring. His coat is lovely. More than anything, Jiyong just wants to be safe. He clearly wants to hang out with our pack. As he gets more confident, your reward will be a happy, gentle, and inquisitive companion. Jiyong has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & does well. Jiyong needs to go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home, he really enjoys the company of other dogs & we currently have him with other dogs in his loving devoted foster home. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Jiyong is roughly 25 lbs & is 4 years old & perhaps a jindo mix, what he is mixed with we are not sure. He is male, neutered, he had a dental/scale & polish along with 2 baby molars removed. He had a schirmer tear test, Intraocular Pressure - Tonometry test for his eye watering & was given antibiotics for his eye. He is microchipped, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Jiyong with bringing him to the US with his travel costs, his cargo fees, his medical, his dental scale & polish, his eye meds, eye test, boarding fees, food etc & bringing him to WA than his adoption fee covers. Jiyong has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but was tested with cats in Korea but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Jiyong was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Jiyong friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Jiyong potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Jiyong & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Jiyong who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little man. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Jiyong has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Hae-Bom was living under a construction storage container in Korea & was rescued with her siblings. Off to the local shelter they went once they were found & poor Hae-Bom spent a year & a half in a cage in the shelter. No one was coming to give her a loving home. Thankfully our amazing Korean rescue friends rescued this girl before her life was to end. Hae-Bom went into the foster home & had to learn to be a dog in a caring environment with dog friends & she did & did amazing. Unfortunately she still could not find a home in Korea & we were asked could we help this Beaty & it was our pleasure to. Hae-Bom was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Hae-Bom was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Ohh this beautiful face match’s her beautiful, fun, sweet personality. She is a social girl & such a lovely soul who just wants to be loved. Hae-Bom has a lovely personality, she is warm, friendly & affectionate & oh my, does she love to eat. Did we mention you can pick this beautiful girl up & she will let you carry her? She loves to receive love & hugs & kisses. She is doing well walking on her harness & leash but still would need work. She did end up having a foster home in Korea who worked with her & helped her flourish. We do know she adores dogs, she loves them & she absolutely needs another dog or dogs in the home for her to play with, this is mandatory. We currently have Hae-Bom with other dogs. Did we mention this girl loves a good outfit, well yes she does. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Hae-Bom until she went into her foster home in Korea & she loves toys, so get the toy box ready for this beauty. Hae-Bom’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. Hae-Bom rides beautifully in the car & loves a good journey, so great in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Hae-Bom does not like crates & who could blame her. With all the time she spent in a crate in Korea, it’s no wonder she doesn’t ever want to go into one again. We are also looking for a forever home for Hae-Bom where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Hae-Bom is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her. She is 2 years old & perhaps a Jindo mix, what she is mixed with we are not sure, female, she is spayed, had a dental/scale & polish, she was treated for an ear infection on the inside & outside of her ears with otomax & antibiotics. We have spent far more on Hae-Bom with bringing her to the US with her travel costs, her medical, her dental, boarding fees etc & bringing her to WA than her adoption fee covers. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay via Zelle, PayPal, or cash. The shelter where Oz came from was asked by Chosun TV, one of Korea’s cable networks, to be a consultant for one of the programs called “Signal: for rescue” for one of its episodes that deal with exposing one of Korea’s illegally established dog meat butchers. Without their consent, though, the TV producers had 10 dogs (one pregnant at the time) rescued from the dog meat butcher resettle at their shelter. Oz is one of the puppies that was born after coming to their shelter. But she wasn’t spayed in time so she got pregnant at the shelter and gave birth to two dogs. Oz was not able to take proper care of either of them, the puppies were eventually taken to a foster home and now both of them live in the States, thanks to American rescues that wanted to take them in. Oz was left alone at the shelter in Korea, but the shelter said they didn’t have the connections or expertise to get these big rescues from the dog meat trade properly publicized for adoption. Oz was supposed to have been placed at a bigger organization in Korea, but the TV producers did not follow up, nor did they take responsibility for the 10 dog’s adoption afterwards. So we gladly said we would help the oh so beautiful Oz who is looking to find that very special home to cherish her as she should be adored. Oz was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Oz was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Talk about absolutely stunning, Miss Oz is such a beautiful girl. This poor girl was ganged up on in the shelter & had her ear bitten but for everything she has been through she is very forgiving & sweet. Oz has a lovely personality, she is warm, friendly & affectionate & oh my, does she love to eat. Some people at first she maybe nervous & hesitant of until she knows & trusts them, then she is good. She is good with men & woman once she knows them. Did we mention you can pick this beautiful girl up & she will let you carry her? She is doing well walking on her harness & leash but still would need work as she does sometimes stop with some people & not want to walk as she gets a little intimidated. She did end up having a foster home in Korea who worked with her on walks & going for runs & we think she would really enjoy a home who would be active with her. We don’t think she ever received this much love before but she radiates her appreciation with us. We do know she adores dogs, she loves them & she absolutely needs another dog or dogs in the home for her to play with, this is mandatory.
