Story
Meet Bolt! He came to us from California and brought the chill vibes with him. This goofball loves to spend time chasing toys, playing with his friends or just cuddle up in your lap. He has truly mastered the art of balancing playful energy with a laid-back demeanor, making home the perfect addition to any home. He truly is as sweet as can be. Because of his breed, Bolt is expected to be on the larger side, so he is hoping for a forever home with a spacious yard to explore and call his own. Bolt is microchipped, up to date on vaccines and scheduled for neuter the first week of May. (He won’t be available to go home until after that appointment)

Good with kids,
Story
Animal Profile:  Millie was listed as a ~2 year old retriever mix, but based on her personality we think she is maybe a little Chow with a sprinkle of street dog. She weighs 32lbs. She is a traveler at heart - she walked herself right across an international bridge and found herself in Del Rio, TX. Our rescue partners scooped her up and she is enjoying life in foster care. Warm bed, squeaky toys, and people and pets to play with. We are excited to meet this happy girl here in Seattle! Foster Update: Update on this girly.  She's doing great! She has settled in enough that she will work for cheese on our walks and is giving good engagement. She's getting 2, hour plus walks every day and is now way more comfortable around bikes and strangers. Honestly if I didn't have a senior kitty I'd be tempted to keep her; she’s got good house manners and is very well behaved in her crate. Millie is a little insecure meeting new people that come right into her space, and she prefers to take things slow but does warm up. With continued training and proper socialization she’ll be a wonderful addition to the right family. She has already learned sit, down and come and has pretty good recall with minimal effort. She lives to sniff and enjoyed her hike, pretty easy going on leash, but also needs proper intros to new dogs. Millie would do best in a single family home with a fenced yard - she loves to sit outside and enjoy the smells.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Animal Advocacy & Rescue, our partner in Del Rio Texas, and arriving via Paws Up Rescue on 03/25/24 to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care. April 23, 2024, 8:35 pm

Story
Jesse was born on a farm and was rehomed to me when she was 3 years old. She is currently 8 years old and her birthday is September 7th making her a Virgo. We’ve had an amazing life together. She has recently had one of her eyes removed. She has not changed a bit since the operation. Other than a permanent wink, she is very happy and healthy. Her temperament is very calm. She loves hikes but loves walks around the city just as much. Jesse is the perfect dog to take on adventures and the perfect cuddle companion.

Story
Meet Miss LULU! a spunky, determined senior lady that will conquer someone's heart! LULU came to a high Kill shelter in Riverside County, CA some months ago. She was found stray and was possibly kept outside tethered or on a chain. Her social skills were logically limited the way she had to live. So, we cannot blame her for that. While she is friendly with people, she is selective with dogs, and it will take a savvy person to navigate through progress that she has made and will continue to make. But given that she is a senior, and her former life was cruel to her, ADR.org would recommend a home where she is the only dog - just to take the stress out. MISS LULU is spayed, microchipped and up to date with vaccination and was fully vetted with full bloodwork. She is an excellent walker, with no pull - unless of course she sees a squirrel (but which dog would not like to chase a critter like this). She loves her walks, and on Orcas Island ADR.org can offer LULU enough green space. Possibly you have a well fenced yard and are most of the time at home. LULU is crate trained and has no problem going in or spending "time-Out" time there and in the night - if needed. She is a good eater, possibly with lesser hearing and would really look forward to more golden years- just in a different set up than in her former life. If you think you would like to offer this lady a home, please send an email to: ADR@animaldefenserescue.org and tell us a bit about yourself. MISS LULU is looking forward to hearing from you! WOOF
