I was found all alone in a Little Caesar's parking lot, but thankfully, some kind people made sure I was safe and helped me find my way to Valley Dog Rescue. Now I'm waiting for a forever family to call my own. I am a sweet, gentle guy who loves people, enjoys treats, and gets along well with other calm dogs. Most days, you'll find me napping, lounging, or soaking up the simple pleasures in life, though I still get excited for my walks and have a goofy side that likes to make an appearance. You may notice I only have one eye and am a little hard of hearing. I also have a few minor age-related medical needs, but the vet has checked me out, and I am doing great. Rescued from a hoarding situation, Twinkle and Star survived without proper care, comfort, or safety. When rescuers finally reached them, they were frightened, under-socialized, and unsure if humans could ever be kind. Between these two very sweet young ladies, they coparented six puppies. Now that their puppies have been adopted, these moms, bonded for life, are looking for an adopter who will take them both. Today, these two resilient souls are discovering what it means to be safe. They are both potty trained, but they are also very, very shy. It will take time, patience, and understanding for them to fully warm up to a new family and feel secure in their surroundings. Though they may remain timid at first, every small victory — a wagging tail, a curious glance, a quiet cuddle — is proof of their incredible courage. Their bond with each other has been a source of comfort through unimaginable circumstances, and together they are taking brave steps toward healing. They don’t need perfection; they need patience, compassion, and a family willing to show them that love can be forever. These dogs are not defined by where they came from. They are defined by their resilience, their capacity to trust again, and the hope they still carry despite everything. After surviving the worst, they deserve the very best life has to offer.
