Story
Ace is a 2 year old cockapoo. He is very energetic and loves to play and begs for attention and head rubs! Ace is hearing disabled, and can’t hear a thing! He is very sweet, but can get startled and sometimes very defensive, especially when it comes to his food. He is good with dogs, except when it comes to his food. I recommend any new interested owner not have any current pets or children, because again, Ace can get protective and defensive when it comes to sharing attention and food If you have no kids, no current pets and are experienced with def dogs, or think you can handle the challenge. Please adopt Ace. He needs a new home. No adoption fee. Just want to find someone who can give him the love, patience and attention he needs. Thank you.

Story
Marley is a cocker spaniel poodle mix. I adopted him as a rescue around 2018 and he was estimated to be less than 2 years old at that time by the vet. He has been neutered and his shots are up to date. He is both house trained and crate trained and good on a leash. I have another dog and the two of them have recently begun not getting along. I have not seen him have issues with other dogs in the past. He is good with children. He does not bite and is not food aggressive. He has not been around cats. I would like to see him go to a loving home where he does not have to be stressed about our younger dog wanting to play when he’d prefer to lounge all day.

please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet. We do not transport our dogs. If you apply from out of state we do request you come to Los Angeles to meet us and fly home in cabin or drive. www.apurposefulrescue.org

The prettiest little princess....meet Shelby! This little fluff ball is Shelby and she is a female, 4 month old, 8lb Cockapoo (as best as we can guess)/Poodle mix that is the most darling thing ever! Shelby came to us when she was purchased by a young man who got her for his girlfriend at 8 weeks old. Shelby didn't last more than a little over a month before they both decided that they didn't want her, stating that a puppy is "too much!" The owners were ready to give her away to the first person they could not caring one bit where she went. Thankfully, a friend of theirs reached out to us and asked if we could take her into our foundation and we said yes! Shelby is brand new with us and we are still learning about her, but from what we can see...she is one happy and playful puppy! She definitely needs another "young" and "playful" pup in the home. She cannot be an "only" dog. If you do not have another dog we do have a couple of adoptable pups that she is best friends with and one could be adopted with her. We have Toby a 1 year old, male Chiweenie and Tali a 3-4 year old, female, Maltese/Terrier mix. She also needs a home with a safe and secure backyard to run around in. We are looking for owners that are home most of the day and not gone long hours, along with being puppy savvy. Shelby is a breed that needs full grooming every 6 weeks, so potential adopters must be ok with that. This little ball of energy is ALL puppy and she needs owners that are patient, nurturing, and loving. She is very young and is still gnawing on everything including furniture and shoes, so she needs a puppy proof home. Please note that she cannot be crated. Sweet little Shelby is one amazing little puppy that deserves the best home out there! We only adopt in the Greater Los Angeles Areas as an in person meet/greet, home check and trial period are required. She was a rescue from the streets of TJ Mexico. I had her throughout all of 2020 till now. She is now 5 years old. Very loving and cute when she warms up to you but can be very reactive with new people. She needs an experienced and patient handler. She can be a very good guard dog for people that don’t get too many visitors. She’s very good with baths, nail cutting, and loves to walk. She’s lower energy now that she’s older but still full of love. I’m about to downsize and would hate to take her to the shelter. The $75 adoption fee ensures serious adopters as I will take that money and get her groomed before you pick her up.
