Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Layla — A Gentle Soul Learning to Trust   Layla is a sweet but shy girl who’s just beginning to discover what it means to truly be a dog. Until recently, she lived in a breeding facility — one of those “moms behind the curtain,” raising litters of puppies adored by many, while her own world stayed small and lonely.   Now safe and loved in foster care, Layla is slowly finding her footing in this big new world. After two months, she’s finally comfortable lying in the same room as her human and, with some gentle encouragement, comes over for soft pets. Progress is happening — it’s just at her pace.   Layla’s journey reminds us that healing takes time. There’s no magic switch to make her a “normal” dog overnight. She needs a family that understands this — one that will offer patience, compassion, and space while celebrating every little victory along the way.   Because of her shyness, Layla will thrive best in:   A calm home with no small children A fenced yard, so she can explore safely A confident dog friend, to show her the ropes and help her feel secure A Note About Safety and Flight Risk   During her first month in foster care, Layla was a significant flight risk. Once she got outside into her fenced yard, there was no getting her back in — she would hide behind trees and go straight into flight mode. For that reason, her future family must be extremely cautious and understand she will need a long lead when outdoors, even within a fenced area. Her foster mom can provide detailed guidance on how to help Layla feel safe, build trust, and learn how to calmly come in and out of the home.   Everyday Challenges   Layla is still working on mastering everyday dog skills. She hasn’t yet learned how to navigate stairs — a single step down she can manage, but multiple steps, such as those on a deck or inside a home, are still too overwhelming for her right now. With time, patience, and encouragement, she may overcome this.   One of Layla’s quirks: she won’t eat from a bowl. It’s a reminder of her past — when bowls likely meant stress or fear. Her foster mom hand-feeds her by scooping her food into her kennel, and Layla happily gobbles it up! She’s also a bit picky about her meals, but her foster can share all the details.   Layla may be a “designer breed,” but she’s also a survivor — a gentle heart ready to learn that love can last forever. With understanding and time, she’ll blossom into the loyal companion she was always meant to be.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Tavis is a gentle, affectionate boy who loves his people, other dogs, and even cats! He’s still learning leash manners—he doesn’t resist, but he’s still figuring out the rules. He enjoys exploring new places with his foster sister, though he’s a little hesitant to go out on his own. With a bit more confidence, he’s sure to become a wonderful walking companion. At home, Tavis is calm and easygoing. He sleeps through the night in the big bed but does just fine in his kennel when left alone (though he rarely needs it!). He’s non-destructive and enjoys relaxing with his foster sister and feline friend while his humans are away. Could this sweet, gentle boy be the perfect addition to your family? He’d be thrilled to meet you!. Note: Tavis does require a friendly, confident dog and a fenced yard in the home! Adoption fee:$695.00

Age: DOB 6/12/2025 Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Getting there Crate trained: Yes Adoption fee: $895 *Fenced Yard Required* Are you looking for a super sweet cuddly companion? Pennie is quite literally the bestest! She weighs about 15 pounds at almost 6 months. She is a beautiful cocker and cavalier mix with heterochromia (one blue eye and one brown eye). She currently has 3 additional cocker spaniels in the foster home. She has interacted with humans as young as 3 and as old as 75. Her foster home has a human home most of the time. She likes to stay close to humans and loves to snuggle up next to you or lay in top of you. She even visited a Middle School Basketball tournament where she melted hearts and turned heads. This beautiful pup is learning lots from her older cocker foster pups who have taught her to go up/down stairs, that leaves and snow are friends and that humans are love. She is very smart, agile, as well as positively connects to our dog pack and humans alike. She knows some human commands like a whistle to come and leave it. She loves to run in the yard which is like watching joy tv. She sits for treats when she comes inside after potty training. She sleeps in a crate in foster bedroom with her littermate. She will whine softly when she needs to go out but still has accidents. She is teething so needs lots of safe toys available and redirects well. She is working on potty training and hasn’t started leash training. She is an excellent car and RV road trip companion. She loves the hammock! We have started to hear her voice and it might be the cutest sound ever. We have loved her for almost four weeks and she is ready for her forever family!

Story
Age: 2.5 years old Weight: 40 lbs. Dog friendly: Yes, needs another confident dog in his home Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes, Older/considerate kids only Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Meet Armstrong! This 2.5-year-old, 40-pound Labradoodle is a sweet and sensitive soul looking for a very special forever home. Armstrong is house trained, crate trained, and full of potential—but he needs a patient and experienced adopter who’s ready to go at his pace. Armstrong can be shy, skittish, and slow to warm up, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and playful personality shines. He absolutely loves to run and play, especially with another confident, friendly dog to show him the ropes. A securely fenced yard (minimum 6 feet) is a must, as Armstrong is a known flight risk. He is not a candidate for apartment or shared-wall living. This boy thrives with minimal kennel time and would do best in a calm home where he can continue building confidence and trust through consistent training and routine. In the right environment, Armstrong blossoms into a loyal, loving companion. If you’re ready to earn the love of a special pup who needs a little extra time—but gives a whole lot in return—Armstrong might just be your perfect match. Adoption Fee: $795
