Story
We got Nala about 8 years ago when she was 8 weeks old from a family selling puppies. We were told she was a chihuahua mix but come to find out that wasn’t true. She is very sweet and loving, loves to cuddle and belly rubs. Very loyal to one owner but is sensitive to loud noises and voices. A gentle and friendly family would be best or an owner with compassion and time would be the best fit. She loves to play and can be lazy at times but she’s a good dog. She has epilepsy and does require medication twice a day to help treat the seizures. A more experienced owner would be best and one who can handle this level of care and management is preferred. Unfortunately we can no longer provide financially for her treatment and future health needs. If you’re serious about Nala please know she is very caring and sweet. A great companion dog and friend. You’d be lucky and proud to have her.

Meet Zoe. Those beautiful, precious eyes will fill your heart. Zoe joined the NorCal family when she was found wandering her neighborhood. A neighbor picked her up and it was discovered her owner had passed away and she had somehow gotten out. A Good Samaritan took her in and we were fortunate enough to be able to rescue her. Zoe is as perfect and loving as can be. Don't shy away due to Zoe's age, she has a lot of amazing energy. The last picture is the day that Zoe was found on the street. :-(( If you are interested in Zoe, please go on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.

Story
Meet Ben and Jerry! These two sweet boys are about 5–6 years old and absolutely full of life. They are incredibly playful, affectionate, and love being around people. Ben and Jerry came to us when their previous owner was no longer able to care for them. They are a bonded pair, so we need to find them a forever home where they can stay together—they truly are best friends. They get along well with other dogs, are friendly and social with people. They ride calmly in the car and haven’t shown any negative reactivity. We are thinking that due to their size, they are big boys, that they may have some Labrador in them. We have recently sent in a DNA test, so we shall see. Ben is also a big jumper. He can jump at least 5 feet and could possibly get over a 3-4 foot fence. Ben and Jerry both need a lot of training and need to be in a home, with preferably a couple, that can invest a lot of time and energy in them. They think they are lap dogs so easily jump up in your lap and want to be snuggled. They need some leash training as they will pull you down the street on their walks. Ben and Jerry need a home with a fairly large, secure fenced yard to run and chase balls. Jerry loves his toys and Ben loves to run. Most of all, Ben and Jerry are loving, joyful companions who deserve a safe, happy home where they can continue to thrive—together. If you are interested in Ben and Jerry, please go on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.

Meet Teddy. This happy boy joined the NorCal family when his owner needed to go into Assisted Living and could no longer care for him. Teddy is a total love dog. He loves people, other dogs and energetically will greet you with lots of wiggles. Teddy is potty trained, rides well in the car and LOVES his walks. He can easily and energetically hike 4+ miles. He is not reactive or possessive of food or toys. Teddy is an affectionate, sweet boy that deserves a forever home. Teddy has been to the Vet and although due to chronic ear infections, Teddy is hearing impaired. He has daily eye drops and needs regular grooming, but overall is in good health. Teddy is waiting to join your family and will give you lots of companionship and love.
