Story
We got Nala about 8 years ago when she was 8 weeks old from a family selling puppies. We were told she was a chihuahua mix but come to find out that wasn’t true. She is very sweet and loving, loves to cuddle and belly rubs. Very loyal to one owner but is sensitive to loud noises and voices. A gentle and friendly family would be best or an owner with compassion and time would be the best fit. She loves to play and can be lazy at times but she’s a good dog. She has epilepsy and does require medication twice a day to help treat the seizures. A more experienced owner would be best and one who can handle this level of care and management is preferred. Unfortunately we can no longer provide financially for her treatment and future health needs. If you’re serious about Nala please know she is very caring and sweet. A great companion dog and friend. You’d be lucky and proud to have her.

Story
I found Honey on the street one day and adopted her. She's super sweet when she knows you and is very excited by new toys and people. She's very social and she also can get overstimulated from socializing. She will need to be trained a bit more. She's also very playful with big dogs... with small dogs, she's a little more selective. She's very protective and a little anxious and very cuddly. She loves treats but if she changes food, she's more likely to have diarrhea and start itching so i keep her on the same food and give her treats that are not chicken or fish. Everything else is great. She wants to eat everything meat, bread or dairy. But we dont do that for her health!

Meet Sara. This precious girl joined the NorCal family when she was found as a stray and we rescued her from the Napa shelter. Sara will NOT be ready for adoption for several months as she will need ear surgery to remove her ear canals, due to horrible ear infections. We only wanted to share this sweet girl. We will keep you updated on her progress.

Meet Bella. This precious, gentle, easy going girl just joined the NorCal family, when her family could no longer take care of her. If you love the older dogs, as I do, Bella is the perfect companion for you. Bella has been fully vetted and needs a little work, but will soon be ready to join your family and be your perfect companion. She is probably one of the easiest dogs we have ever had. Bella is a total love!!! If you are interested in Bella, please go on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.

Story
Meet Ben and Jerry! These two sweet boys are about 5–6 years old and absolutely full of life. They are incredibly playful, affectionate, and love being around people. Ben and Jerry came to us when their previous owner was no longer able to care for them. They are a bonded pair, so we’re hoping to find them a forever home where they can stay together—they truly are best friends. They get along well with other dogs, are friendly and social with people, and walk nicely on a leash. They ride calmly in the car and haven’t shown any negative reactivity. We’re not yet sure how they do with cats. Most of all, Ben and Jerry are loving, joyful companions who deserve a safe, happy home where they can continue to thrive—together. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Ben and Jerry, please go on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.
