Story
Meet Mykah, a magnificent looking 4 year old, 28 lb cocker spaniel boy. If you are looking for an exercise buddy, he is your boy! He still has the energy of a puppy and needs an active adopter/family — he gets a 40 minute walk each morning, swims every day in his foster’s pool and 2 hours of play in the backyard in the evening and could go longer if his foster dad let him. He loves to run in the yard where he has taken up the time honored tradition of chasing squirrels. He loves toys and balls (and does not like to share them) and has found every last one in his foster home. Mykah loves to go on walks and is strong! He wears a harness without issue and is working on his leash walking skills. He will need continued training to become more secure when he sees other dogs and cyclists. He is dog selective — good with his foster brother, an older dog but NO CATS. Mykah is very snuggly and affectionate with his chosen human and attaches to that person quickly. As such he needs an ADULT ONLY home (NO KIDS). He does ok in the car but needs to be crated (which he is fine with). He has a great appetite - no worries there - and has developed a taste for cheese. He is great for brushing, grooming and ear cleaning. Mykah prefers someone to be home more often than not and will bark when left alone or wants your attention. For that reason, we are looking for an adopter with a single family home, a fenced-in yard with pool and where he will not be left alone for long periods. If you would like to make Mykah a forever member of your family, please complete an application through our website: www.floridacockerrescue.org. His ADOPTION FEE is $350.

Story
Good day all! My name is Jackson and I am a 7 year old 33 lb cocker boy in search of my forever home. As you can tell form my pictures I am a very handsome fella but of course I have more great qualities than just the good looks LOL. Foster mommy says I have impeccable house manners, know basic commands and get along great with most dogs my size or smaller....it's the big ones that I bark at and seem to be afraid of. I also bark at strangers when I'm taken on walks ( I do pull a bit so that needs to be worked on) or when I see them pass by the front of the house...maybe it's the protector in me, but foster mommy is working with me on the barking thing- aside from that she says I am a VERY smart boy and a cuddle bug at heart...and of course she be right! I love attention, giving and receiving kisses, back scratches, tummy rubs etc etc. If interested in providing me with a forever home and making me a part of your family please fill out an application at www.floridacockerrescue.org ADOPTION FEE: $350.00

Helloooooo, Facebook Family!! I’m so happy to be here with the ladies of FCCR and so thankful they rescued me from the local shelter. I’m a happening guy and love to be out and about. Do you have a car? I LOVE car rides and I’m the first one to say let’s go!! 😂 My name is Peter and I’m still a youngster and very playful — even goofy 🤪 sometimes. I’m only 3 years old and a full-tailed, 34 lb black cocker spaniel boy. I am quite handsome, don’t you think? 🥰 I’m a friendly guy and want to please my humans. I’m very smart … I’m crate-trained…and would love to take some training classes with my peeps. The only thing I am asking for is to be your one and ONLY dog. I have so much love ❤️ to give…I don’t want to share my humans with anyone else. Are you ready to open your home and heart to me? Please send the ladies your application through the website: www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $325

Story
HUNK ALERT! Welcome Weston, a 7 year old, 28lb black cocker spaniel boy! This sweetheart is a total love bug. He gets along with other dogs great and loves the Ladies so we would welcome and prefer a WOMEN ONLY home- he is scared of men. We do not know how he is with cats or kids . Weston loves to shadow his humans everywhere. Need an escort to the kitchen or bathroom? He will ensure you make it there safely and are, of course, not alone. Need a foot warmer or an extra “pillow” to snuggle? He is Downy soft and will keep you comforted. Need a few extra kisses just because? He is pawsitively that pup!!! He can be a little vocal when he feels his voice is not being heard. He will certainly make you feel missed and loved when you return from your outing ...even if your excursion was merely a three-minute walk to the mailbox and back. As a result, we think apartment or condo living is not suitable for Weston. Weston is slightly hearing impaired, but that does not stop him from partaking in family festivities. He is always up for a pawty or snuggle on the couch and loves to go for walks and car rides. We are looking for that special human who will continue to work with him to become his best doggie self and shower him with attention. If you are interested in making Weston a member of your family, please complete an application through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. His ADOPTION FEE: $300.00

Story
Hellooooooo my name is Johnny!!! Actually I've been called Johnny Fever and Johnny Bravo---sooooo just call me Johnny since that's the short version that I answer to. I am a 5 1/2 year old, 34 lb cocker boy full of life, personality and energy who had a very rough life until these nice FCCR ladies took me in. Now life is good!! Let’s get to know each other…first, I am a super intelligent boy and a quick learner especially with positive reinforcement and food…did i tell you I LOVE food! Second, I get along with other pups as long as they respect me and my space and do not bully me. I am not a fan of cats and NO KIDS PLEASE - they scare me- I need a quiet home where I can be the center of attention. My foster mom says with the right "human leadership" I am a calm and sweet prince. You see my life before FCCR was filled with loneliness, neglect and outright abuse! My previous "owner" decided they really didn't have time for me — I came into the rescue severely matted with a collar embedded in my neck, I was heartworm positive, and I was totally unsocialized and afraid of people. I lived most of my days in a crate or was left to run loose in a yard full of fleas and with a fur brother who bullied me constantly. FCCR immediately got the nasty collar surgically removed, treated my neck infection and got my heart worm treated (and I am fully recovered!!). I now enjoy regular grooming to show off my beautiful tan and white fur. Fast Forward — My foster family has lavished me with the love and attention I was missing and they are super patient with my quirky behavior…helping me learn to trust humans. My past trauma means my humans have to go really slow with me and watch for my stress signals. I'm in a quiet, nurturing and loving foster home now but I really hope for my very own forever home---with experienced pawrents who can turn my sad story into a fairytale ending? Could that be YOU? If you think so please fill out an application at www.floridacockerrescue.org ADOPTION FEE: $300.00

Story
Woof! We're Percy and Oliver, and we're here to tell you about the most amazing bonded pair of boys you'll ever meet - us! I’m Percy, the handsome red and white cocker spaniel, and my best buddy Oliver is the dashing black and white one. We're both 4 years old and the perfect size for cuddles - I'm 25 pounds and Oliver's 28 pounds of pure sweetness (and mischief). We like to think of ourselves as sweet, smart, and funny - our foster mom just adds "and naughty" after each of those, but we have no idea what she means! We're always ready for our next adventure, whether that's a car ride (we're excellent passengers), a walk where we can greet all our dog friends, or a romp at the dog park where we charm every human we meet. We haven't had the chance to meet cats or little kids yet, but we think we'd do great with dog-savvy older children who understand our enthusiasm for life. Speaking of walks, we're really good on the leash - well, mostly good. 😂 The only thing that gets us a little distracted is when we spot lizards, squirrels, bunnies, or birds. Can you blame us? We want to get really close to them but they keep running away! We absolutely love golf cart rides and there's nothing better than a frozen Kong stuffed with peanut butter afterwards or to cool off after playing. And the best part of every morning? Hopping up on our human's bed for cuddles and snuggles after our morning potty break. We're still working on our house manners but we are both smart boys and learning quickly especially when treats are involved. We stay in our crates when our foster mom goes out and at bedtime because we might get into a tiny bit of trouble if left to our own devices - we're just so curious about everything! During the day when she's working from home, we're perfect angels who sleep and entertain ourselves. We recently discovered the joy of toys and balls, and Oliver is becoming quite the fetch champion while I have mastered the art of the steal - it's all part of our dynamic duo act! We know we're sweet and maybe just a little bit spoiled rotten, but that's what makes us so lovable! We come as a package deal because we're absolutely bonded and can't imagine life without each other. Are you ready for double the love, double the fun, and double the cocker spaniel charm? We promise you won't regret choosing us! If you are interesting in bringing us home, please complete an application through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $625.00
