ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Hedy. My owner lived in a senior living community. Eventually, she had to go into memory care. The kind people at the senior living community took care of me so I could be with my owner until the end. Now that she is gone, the managers of the community felt I needed a new home to call my own so they asked CSAC to help find me a new home. I am fantastic with people, I was surrounded by over a hundred every day. I am not very good with other dogs especially high energy dogs who get too close too quickly. I am house trained and good with children. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   CSAC is adopting Teddy and Smokey as a bonded pair. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Teddy. I were rescued from a hoarding situation, and my rescuer asked CSAC to help find me a new home. I am friendly, but right now I am a bit nervous since I am not sure what is happening to me right now. I lived with a hoarder with a lot of other animals. My pictures show that I was not well cared for. I feel better now that I was groomed. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I tested positive for Lyme and Anaplasmosis disease, but I am taking medication for that. I do have a grade 3 of 6 heart murmur, but everything else is ok. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Felicity, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. The CSAC volunteer said that I was friendly, calm and gentle and that I should adjust to my new life pretty quickly. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. My owner passed away so his sister asked CSAC to help find me a new home. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. I do have dry eye, but a few eye drops take care of that. I need a home where the people are home more than away. I love my people, playing with squeaky toys, and fetching a ball. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training. I am energetic, very playful, and jump up on people. My former caretaker says that I am happy, friendly, and loyal. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon.
