ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE BELOW! 04/23/2023 - UPDATE - I have been in a foster home, and I am doing very well. My foster mom says that I am 99% house trained. I am still shy around other dogs. My foster home has 2 other pups, but I keep to myself, although I have been trying to join them when they run around the yard. I am still trying to learn how to be a pet dog. I finally tried barking! I like treats, but I am still too shy to go to my foster mom for a treat, but she is kind and brings it to me. I have tried going to her for some petting the last few days. There is a lot to learn to be a happy pet, but I'm making good progress. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Kelsey, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am shy because I have not been around a lot of people or lived in a home as a pet. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me and are not going to hurt me. That is something I have not experienced so far in my life. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money.
