Story
🐶 Looking for a New Family for Lego 📍 Location: New York Lego was adopted as a young puppy but was sadly surrendered by his owner after three years. He grew up in an unstable environment with frequent travel back and forth to Boston, which made it difficult for him to form a secure attachment with his guardian. Because of this instability, in moments of fear, panic, or overwhelming stress, he has shown a few defensive or warning bites Lego needs a family who can meet him in person, understand his behavior clearly, and provide the consistent, reassuring environment he needs. City life is simply too overwhelming for him. With a quiet environment and a patient, steady guardian, Lego has every chance to continue improving and becoming more stable. The greatest hope is for Lego to find a peaceful home where he can finally rest. 📌 Basic Information Name: Lego Age: 4 years Gender: Male Weight: 25 lbs Breed: Jindo × Cocker Spaniel mix Color: Brown & White 🐾 Personality & Behavior People: Very fearful/reactive toward new people, warms up more easily to shorter women Children: Not recommended Other Dogs: Best as the only dog Shows resource guarding around food; must be fed separately Cats: Unknown Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: No Energy Level: High Touch/Handling: Uncomfortable with physical contact Barking: Quiet when alone; barks at doorbells or hallway noises when someone is home Escape Tendencies: None — manageable with “sit” and “wait” Walking: Martingale collar recommended; pulls with a harness Car Rides: Nervous initially, settles on longer rides Yard: Ideal, but a quiet neighborhood is also fine Living with Other Dogs: Not suitable 🔎 What Lego Needs Lego has fear-based reactivity. His current guardian has invested significant time, training, and management, and he has shown meaningful progress. However, Lego needs: A guardian experienced with reactive or anxious dogs A consistent daily routine A calm environment with low stimulation 🧡 Please Consider Becoming Lego’s Family Once he bonds, Lego is goofy, affectionate, and deeply loyal. He is waiting for a forever family who can provide the quiet suburban environment where he can truly thrive.

Story
Hi, I'm Ocean, and I am a pretty active guy. I'd say I am medium energy as I really get excited about exploring my surroundings. I am crate trained and settle nicely once I've had an opportunity to exercise. I also know "sit". My foster reports that I am a lovely dog, super friendly with all the dogs and humans. I can get a little barky, but it just may be that I like to 'talk' to all the other dogs here! If you are interested in adopting me, please apply today. Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee covers; please consider making a tax-deductible donation by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset vetting, boarding costs, and additional medical treatments for dogs who need it. For more information on Hatton Animal Rescue, visit our website at: hattonanimalrescue.org.

Story
Meet Chocko — a 3-year-old, 20-pound Shih Tzu/Cocker Spaniel mix with a huge personality, a happy spirit, and a nose that believes every walk should be a full-blown “Sniff-fari.” This handsome little guy is the perfect combination of fun, affection, curiosity, and companionship all wrapped up in one adorable package. Chocko is the kind of dog who wakes up every day excited to see what adventure might happen next. Whether it’s a long neighborhood walk, a car ride to run errands, a weekend road trip, or simply exploring the backyard like it’s brand new, he is ALL IN. He absolutely loves his walks and can happily stroll for blocks without slowing down, making him a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys being active and having a loyal little sidekick along for the ride. And when the adventures are over? Chocko transforms into the sweetest companion who just wants to be near his people. He has wonderful house manners, travels beautifully in the car, and would gladly accept the role of full-time co-pilot in someone’s life. If you’ve ever wanted a dog who is always ready to go wherever you go, Chocko is your guy. He does very well with crate training and potty training and is eager to continue learning new commands and routines. Chocko is a smart boy who truly enjoys interaction and engagement. He also loves other dogs and wants very much to play and socialize with them. Due to some hardships in his previous life, he does have mild food guarding tendencies, but it is easily managed by feeding him separately from other pets. Outside of mealtime, he is loving, social, and full of joy. What makes Chocko especially lovable is his personality. He has that perfect mix of silly and sweet — one minute proudly investigating every smell on earth with total determination, and the next minute gazing up at you with those soulful eyes like you are his entire world. He brings energy and laughter into a home without being overwhelming, and his affectionate nature makes it impossible not to fall for him. Chocko is ready for a fresh start with someone who will appreciate his playful spirit, continue building his confidence, and include him as part of everyday life. He has so much love to give and is simply waiting for the person who will say, “Yep… you’re coming home with me.” ❤️ If you are interested in adopting Chocko, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 28, 2026, 11:34 am
