Story
If snuggling were a competitive sport, Randie wouldn’t just take home the gold—he’d insist on standing on the podium in your arms. This 6ish-month-old Cockapoo has one mission in life: to be as close to his favorite humans as physically possible. Preferably on their lap. At all times.Randie is sweet, a little shy, and very committed to his people. He’s working on sharing their attention with other pets—though he does remind other dogs that there is, in fact, a Randie Only policy when it comes to prime lap real estate. He’s also learning that cats are not small, mysterious dogs, but rather majestic creatures with claws—a lesson he is taking very seriously.Housebroken and crate trained (though he might stage a brief protest), Randie is a smart little guy who’s already mastering “sit,” “stay,” and “place.” The big, loud world can feel a little overwhelming for him, so he’d thrive in a quiet home with patient adopters who will help him build confidence. Because of his timid nature, he’d do best in an adult-only home with a single person or a couple who will shower him with love (and provide unlimited lap access). He could enjoy the company of an easygoing dog friend but would be just as happy being the sole recipient of your affection.Randie is looking for a home where he can be spoiled with cuddles, reassurance, and all the lap time he desires. Think you’re up for the job? He’d love to meet you! If you`d like to take Randie home, please fill out an adoption application on AARF’s website – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application! Randie’s adoption fee is $350. By the time you meet your new furry friend, they’ll already be spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate), microchipped, and thoroughly checked by a veterinarian. They’ll be up to date on all necessary vaccinations, including rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). They’ve also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases (4DX) and have started their heartworm and flea prevention meds. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

Story
Meet Chipper! This 6ish-month-old Cockapoo is full of personality, a little bit of sass, and a whole lot of love. With his fluffy, low-shed white and orange coat and his just-right 21-pound size, he’s basically a walking teddy bear. Chipper is smart—so smart, in fact, that he’s already nailed “sit,” “place,” and “stay,” and he’s working hard on “down.” He loves his walks, enjoys chasing balls (retrieving is optional), and is an excellent car ride companion. Grooming? No problem. Attention? Yes, please! He wants to be wherever his people are, supervising all activities and ensuring you never feel lonely (or forget to share your snacks). Now, about other dogs… Chipper enjoys their company when he decides it’s playtime. However, when it comes to dog beds, furniture, or his favorite lounging spots, he prefers a strictly reserved seating policy. He’s improving with training, but for now, he’d be happiest as the only dog in the home—or with an adopter who understands his “King of the Castle” mindset. He has zero issues with people but would do best in a home without small kids who might not respect his VIP seating preferences. If you’re looking for a smart, loving, and hilariously opinionated best friend who will keep you entertained and make sure you always have a shadow, Chipper is your guy! If you`d like to take Chipper home, please fill out an adoption application on AARF’s website – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application! Chipper’s adoption fee is $350. By the time you meet your new furry friend, they’ll already be spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate), microchipped, and thoroughly checked by a veterinarian. ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Joslyn, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The CSAC volunteer said that I was nervous at first but enjoyed the attention I was receiving at the vets. I liked being held and started to wiggle more and more. I allowed the volunteers to hold me and started warming up pretty quickly. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. I were rescued from a hoarding situation, and my rescuer asked CSAC to help find me a new home. I am friendly, but right now I am a bit nervous since I am not sure what is happening to me right now. I lived with a hoarder with a lot of other animals. My pictures show that I was not well cared for. I feel better now that I was groomed. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I tested positive for Lyme and Anaplasmosis disease, but I am taking medication for that. I do have a grade 3 of 6 heart murmur, but everything else is ok. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator.
