Story
1 Year Old, 28lb Manolo needs a little bit of extra TLC as he can be anxious in new environments, so he’d love a home where someone will be patient with him and takes things slow as he continues to build his confidence. He would do best as the only dog in the home as this anxiety can make him reactive towards other dogs, and he prefers to be spoiled by his humans instead! Manolo loves to love and quality time with his people is definitely his love language, he’d both make an excellent cuddle buddy and jogging/walking companion. He’s very sweet and eager to do just about anything to make sure his handler is proud of him! Manolo is also available for foster or our Foster-to-Adopt program! ##2008663##

Story
Jeffy is a 3-year old, 24 lbs. male spaniel mix from San Diego. He is a happy pup who has adjusted very well during his time in New York City! Jeffy enjoys playing fetch with a tennis ball, getting belly rubs, and snuggling with his people. He is doing well understanding “sit," "stay," "come," and is working on other obedience training.  During his time with his foster family, he seems to be fully housetrained. He goes out on regular walks and does all of his business outside.  Jeffy is doing great on his leash skills. He walks very confidently, and isn't reactive to city noises. He sometimes gets distracted because he loves to stop and say hi to people and dogs, but is easily refocused with a gentle reminder. True to his cookies-and-cream coat, Jeffy is an absolute treat! He is affectionate, eager to please, and smart. His tail works overtime, wagging happily to greet you. His forever family will need to continue working with Jeffy to reinforce and advance the progress he's been making. Jeffy is making great progress in his crate training. He initially will whine a bit, but settles down eventually. He loves to be cozy with his foster family and can often be found looking for a lap to snuggle on. Jeffy is looking for a low-key to medium active family. He has his playful moments and loves being outside, but also appreciates plenty of downtime, just snoozing at home. He would be great as a solo dog or with another friendly dog. He gets along well with his foster sister dog. We would recommend Jeffy go to a home with older children who can continue with his training and respect his boundaries. Vaccinated for rabies, DA2PP, and bordetella. Neutered and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.  To apply for Jeffy, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2033418##

Story
Clover (Buddy) is a gorgeous 2 1/2 year old Cocker Spaniel/Shi tzu mix who needs a new forever home! He also responds to the name “Buddy”. Clover just loves a nice long walk with a person he loves. He is a curious boy and enjoys sightseeing during his walks. Clover attaches quickly to one person and is fearful of those he doesn’t know. He has shown some protectiveness over his previous owner. We recommend he be the only pet in the home. Clover lights up when it’s time to play! He has a blast playing with his toys and can be protective of them as well. A potential adopter would need to visit several times in order to win his trust and get to know him. This pup has so much potential if given the time and patience that he needs. An adopter would need to commit to working with a trainer as needed to help him build his confidence and learn to trust others. Due to his special needs, we are only seeking a local adopter who lives in a single family home. Clover is neutered, microchipped, heart worm free, approximately 30 pounds, and up to date on all vaccines. If you’d like to meet this handsome boy, please email adopt@bobbicares.org to arrange a visit appointment. All of our adoptions are local only.
