Story
Meet Bella! Bella is a 4-year-old, 26-pound Cocker Spaniel with a sweet soul and the most adorable bear paws! While she can be a little shy or unsure when first meeting new people, she warms up quickly to anyone who takes an interest in her.
One thing you'll quickly learn about Bella is just how much she loves her people. Her favorite place in the world is right next to you, whether that's on the couch, in the car, or snuggling up in bed at night. She forms strong bonds with her family and wants to be involved in everything you're doing. Because of this, Bella can become anxious when left alone for long periods. She would do best in a home where someone is around for much of the day, works from home, is retired, or enjoys taking their dog along on errands and adventures.
Bella enjoys going outside with her foster dog sibling and does well when she's given regular chances to potty outdoors. She even sleeps through the night without any accidents. Although Bella isn't fully house trained, but she will use pee pads indoors. Bella is eager to please, and with a consistent routine, it's expected that she'll learn quickly!
Bella has an easygoing nature and does well with other dogs. She may also do well with cats, although this has not been formally tested. Because she can be a little skittish in unfamiliar situations, she may be most comfortable in a home with older children.
Like many dogs, Bella prefers to enjoy her meals without interruption and should be fed separately from other animals. She also isn't a fan of crates and would thrive in a home where she can safely roam and relax when her family is away.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who will make you the center of her universe, spin with excitement over a piece of cheese, ride shotgun on your adventures, and keep you smiling with her playful zoomies, Bella might be your perfect match.
Bella is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Her adoption fee is $450.00.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
