Story
Brave is a 2 year old cocker spaniel. This is what his foster family says about him... Brave is Two years young and looking for his forever family.  Brave is crate trained, potty trained and knows to sit, wait, leave it and place.  He is very smart and food motivated!  He is neutered, up to date on all of his shots and behaves well at the vet.   Brave and his Foster Mom are working with a Trainer to address his reactivity when walking on a leash.  He will need someone who is willing to keep up the Training he has done so far and can continue to make progress.   Brave loves adventure, playing with his toys, hunting for them in hide and seek play and especially going for walks.   He would do best in a home with older kids and he is very used to kids coming in and out.  Brave needs someone to be patient because he can have his guard up at first but he is  just frightened of new people sometimes and you will see his tail wagging.  Once he gets to know you, Brave can be very loving and is happiest by your side or lying on his bed near you.  He is such a sweet boy and has so much love to give!   If you are interested in making Brave part of your family, please contact Beth at sharackb68@gmail.com This is a courtesy post for the owner of this dog.  You will not be adopting from Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue. Please contact the owner directly through the contact info provided above.      February 2, 2026, 7:45 am

Story
✨Meet Christof!✨ Christof is a 1-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. Christof had a very difficult life before coming to us, being used as a breeder dog his entire life. He is shut down at this time but is slowly starting to give us his trust. We are confident he will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands his past and gives him the time he needs to trust them and his new surroundings. Christof loves other animals, and will thrive in a home with at least one other dog. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! We promise there is nothing that compares to gaining the love and trust of a puppy mill survivor, but it requires intentional effort and commitment from their new family. With the right guidance, puppy mill survivors can blossom into well-socialized, joyful dog- so our goal is always to ensure every adopter is fully prepared to give them the life and environment they need to truly thrive! If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾 Angel’s Retreat West Chester, PA PA Kennel License 17335
