Story
KENNEL ID #18804 Hank is a 3-year-old neutered Cocker Spaniel with the sweetest soul. He’s wonderful with kids—gentle, patient, and happy to soak up all the love and attention. Hank is also great with other dogs and has an easygoing, friendly personality that makes him a joy to be around. He’s affectionate without being overwhelming, loves being near his people, and is always up for cuddles or a nice walk. Hank has never been around cats, so a cat-free home or one willing to do slow introductions would be best. If you’re looking for a loving, family-friendly dog who will fit right into your home and heart, Hank could be your perfect match.   Thank you for your interest in rescue.  If you would like to be considered for  adoption,  please submit an application to adopt.  If you have any questions regarding the adoption process, please email:  rescuedp2024@icloud.com  or ddlu219@yahoo.com   for dog/puppies.    APPLICATIONS TO ADOPT : DOG     CAT     BIRD      REPTILE       SMALL ANIMALS        February 20, 2026, 5:23 pm

Story
Meet Osten 3 years oldSome dogs arrive at the shelter through no fault of their own and Osten is one of those sweet souls. He came to us when his previous owners could no longer properly care for him, and while change can be hard, he’s slowly learning that new beginnings can still be filled with kindness, play, and love.Osten can be a little hesitant when meeting new people at first he just likes to take a moment to figure things out. But give him a little patience or better yet, toss him a ball and you’ll see his true personality shine. Once he feels safe, he warms up quickly and becomes a happy, affectionate boy who is more than ready to share smiles and soak up attention. He’s the kind of dog who reminds you that trust is something beautiful — something earned gently, and something that makes the bond even stronger when it grows. Osten is looking for a family willing to give him that little bit of time and understanding so he can show you just how special he really is.Interested in meeting Osten? We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
