Story
Mike (affectionately called Mikey) is a complete goofball with a big personality. He can be a little stubborn at times, but he’s learning commands and making great progress. Mikey is crate trained and house-broken. He’s a high-energy pup who loves to play, and he also enjoys relaxing with a good chew toy. He gets along well with other dogs. Mikey can be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly—especially with belly rubs! He is still working on his leash walking skills, but he’s improving with practice and consistency ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. Complete adoption application and submit following appropriate link below: Dog/Puppy: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Dog Cat/kitten: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Cat It takes us about 1-3 days to process applications. Once approved, we ask that all members of the household (including dogs) be available for meeting the animal within 3 days. If the meeting goes well, you will submit payment electronically and be able to take your new family member home with you immediately! If for whatever reason you do not take the animal home after the first meeting, please understand that we will continue to process applications for the animal and availability is not guaranteed. 4. Story
Sully is a total sweetie pie who loves to cuddle and absolutely adores his people. He’s a high-energy boy who loves to play, especially with toys, and he never says no to belly rubs! Sulley is very treat-motivated, eager to please, and already knows 5 commands (and is currently learning 2 more). He is fully house-broken and crate trained. Sulley loves other dogs and does great with bigger dogs too. He is still working on his leash manners, but he’s making progress and wants to do well. ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. Colette will be around 25 pounds as an adult, she is spayed, heartworm negative and is on ProHeart6 heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is 750.00, transport fee is 165.00 The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
