.DOB 12-28-2024 Fuzzy, happy and sweet. This gorgeous little girl is ready for her home and family. Up to date on shots and all medical. Colette is social, loves to play and gets along with everyone. Colette will be around 25 pounds as an adult, she is spayed, heartworm negative and is on ProHeart6 heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is 750.00, transport fee is 165.00 The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

✨Meet Christof!✨ Christof is a 1-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. Christof had a very difficult life before coming to us, being used as a breeder dog his entire life. He is shut down at this time but is slowly starting to give us his trust. We are confident he will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands his past and gives him the time he needs to trust them and his new surroundings. Christof loves other animals, and will thrive in a home with at least one other dog. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! We promise there is nothing that compares to gaining the love and trust of a puppy mill survivor, but it requires intentional effort and commitment from their new family.
