Story
Our Austin Landmark Litter was born in April 2026. They will be available to go to their furever families the 3rd week of June. Their mama is a beautiful cocker spaniel and the dad was a husky/malamute/samoyed mix. Our boy Zilker possesses two, piercing blue eyes that instantly captivate you. Interestingly, Husky pups are all born with blue eyes. Yet, they may change eye color within 2-3 months from birth. We believe that Zilker will maintain his baby blues his entire life. Zilker is just a smidge lighter than his brothers Barton and Bonnell, but his curiosity, intelligence and playfulness are right up there with them. At birth, all pups in this litter were black and white. We are beginning to see brown freckles pop up on their muzzles and knees. They continue to grow and socialize. Zilker is getting potty trained with pee pads and already uses our doggie door to go explore outside and to occasionally do his business in the backyard. Story
Meet Mih!Named after the musical note, Mih is a little melody all her own. This gorgeous girl has the most expressive eyebrows, beautiful coloring, and those classic wavy cocker ears that make her impossible to resist. Her mama is a precious redheaded Cocker Spaniel, and with a music man for a daddy, it's no surprise that Mih was destined to stand out.At just 7.5 weeks old, Mih already has a big personality. She's feisty, confident, and convinced she can run the world all by herself. In fact, she's appointed herself assistant mom, keeping a watchful eye on her siblings, cleaning them, and even reprimanding them when she thinks they're not behaving properly. She's independent, smart, and always eager to know what's going on.Like her siblings, she’s a smart girl who whines to let her people know when it’s time to go potty outside!Like all puppies, Mih is looking for more than a home—she's looking for a lifelong commitment. Her adopter should be prepared to love and care for her not just while she's an adorable baby, but for the next 15+ years. She will need continued socialization, training, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of physical and mental activity to help her grow into a well-rounded adult dog.Mih is seeking a single-family home with a fully fenced yard where she can safely play and explore. She would thrive with an active family that understands the time and dedication puppies require. Because she's always underfoot and likes to be involved in everything her people are doing, a home with individuals who have mobility or balance concerns would not be the best fit.If you're looking for a beautiful, spirited puppy with confidence, charm, and just a touch of bossy big-sister energy, Mih may be the perfect addition to your family. Please note that if you're interested in adopting one, CSRA/SA has additional Puppy Policies that can be found on our website. We believe most pups do best in home that have fenced-in backyards, plenty of socialization with folks that are home more than not (or who have plans for midday potty breaks & playtime), family members who don’t mind tripping over little doggies under their feet, and an adopter who is in it for the long run (now and many years from now!). If you've got questions or want to express interest in one of these, please EMAIL us at woof@austincockerrescue.org As always, adoptions require an approved application which you can find on our website at austincockerrescue.org

Story
Say hello to adorable & adoptable Sherrie! Sherrie is a 6 year old girl, and she’s 20 pounds of love! She is the absolute sweetest girl who just needs somewhere to finally call home. She can be a little shy at first, but with a little patience she quickly shows her personality! She never barks so shared walls won’t be a problem for her. She does great with all brushing, walking on a leash, and she loves her crate or somewhere safe for her to unwind. Since she has been with us, she has not met a stranger she didn’t want to meet. She also does great with other dogs and anyone who can give her pets! She will give you or your other fur babies a lick or a small whine if she feels like she doesn’t have enough of your attention. Sherrie would do best in a home with other dogs or even kids that she can play with and continue to build her “dog” skills. She is working on potty training but she’s picking it up great! (A little treat is a great motivator for her!) Sherrie is truly the happiest little girl and has so much puppy time to catch up on, age is just a number for this sweetheart.Unfortunately, Sherrie is heartworm positive, but please don’t let that scare you! She will be treated at CSRA/SA expense at one of our area vets. Treatment will require temporarily keeping her activity level low for about 3 months — and since she already loves her crate, crate rest will be very manageable for her. It sounds much scarier than it actually is! Sherrie is ready to find her forever family so she can start treatment surrounded by love and stability.Interested in adoption? Our adoptions require an approved application which you can find on our website. Already approved applicants can email woof@austincockerrescue.org with their interest. We adopt to within the state of Texas.

Story
Hey, it's me, Snooper! Are you my human? I REALLY love riding in the car and my people. I promise to patrol your yard and keep all the critters at bay. I can be your partner for playing fetch and for a good walk. When it's time for cuddles, I'll paw your hand to make sure I get a pet or two in while I snooze next to you on the couch. These are some of my best photos, before I had to have one of my eyes removed, now I'm a winker! I've been in foster care for over 2 years and would love to find my furever to spend my remaining years with.Interested in adoption? Please read the following: we have an application process, which can be found on our website at www.austincockerrescue.org. We do not adopt outside the state of Texas. You must have an approved application to set up a meeting with a dog--this is done at the foster's discretion. If you have questions regarding the adoption process or a specific dog, please email us at woof@austincockerrescue.org. Phone calls about specific dogs will not be answered, as email is our preferred method of communication. Thank you for your interest!

Their mama is a beautiful cocker spaniel and the dad was a husky/malamute/samoyed mix. Like most Husky mixes (43% Cocker Spaniel, 31% Siberian Husky, 12% Alaskan Malamute 4% Samoyed), Barton displays heterochromia. One brown and eye and one blue eye. He also sports a heart shaped patch on his chest and with his intelligence and inquisitiveness, he is sure to locate your heart.
