Story
Tofu is a major cutie—a sweet, cuddly 1.5 year-old Cockapoo with a heart full of love and a tongue that’s almost always sticking out (seriously… it’s part of his signature look!). This affectionate little guy lives for kisses, snuggles, and being close to his people. If you’re looking for a best friend who wants to be wherever you are, Tofu is your guy.Tofu has a playful puppy spirit and still gets the zoomies like a champ! While he does have some hip and back leg issues that we’re still learning more about, it doesn’t stop him from running, playing, and enjoying life. It’s believed these traits may be inherited. Regardless, Tofu doesn’t let it slow him down and continues to be an active, happy pup.Because he’s still a puppy, Tofu can get a little mouthy when he’s extra excited, but he’s made great progress learning to redirect that energy to his beloved chew toys (which he absolutely loves). For this reason he may need to be in a home with full grown children. He’s also very fond of his toy box… though he’s still trying to understand why throw pillows aren’t considered toys. 😉Tofu is crate trained and does well settling in his kennel. He has come a long way with his potty training and continues to improve, especially with a consistent routine—he may just need a little extra patience and guidance to get fully there. He loves being outside, especially lounging in the grass and soaking up the fresh air. At the end of the day, Tofu’s favorite place is anywhere he can curl up with his human. He truly just wants to be loved and part of a family. With his sweet personality, adorable bleep tongue, and endless affection, Tofu is ready to steal hearts and become someone’s perfect companion.Interested in Adoption? It’s adorable & adoptable: Gossling! (You can call him Gus if that’s too fancy). GosslingIf you ever needed anyone to help you locate your dirty socks.....this is your guy!! No worries, he won't chew them up, simply hoard them on the couch for you. He also loves toys and feels it's his life mission to take every single one out of the box. I mean, why do you want them organized?? They should be decorating the house, duh. G man is still learning the basic house manners such as taking a treat...or making it outside but he's been doing really good and picking things up quickly. He gets so excited about feeding time that he lets out a little bit of drool; he has learned to sit and wait for the command and will even give a high five before being released to eat. He is a sweet goofy boy who deserves a great home of his own. Gossling is 3 years old. Interested in adoption? Our adoptions require an approved application which you can find on our website. Story
Our Austin Landmark Litter was born in April 2026. They will be available to go to their furever families the 3rd week of June. Their mama is a beautiful cocker spaniel and the dad was a husky/malamute/samoyed mix. Like most Husky mixes (43% Cocker Spaniel, 31% Siberian Husky, 12% Alaskan Malamute 4% Samoyed), Barton displays heterochromia. One brown and eye and one blue eye. He also sports a heart shaped patch on his chest and with his intelligence and inquisitiveness, he is sure to locate your heart. If you've got questions or want to express interest in one of these, please EMAIL us at woof@austincockerrescue.org As always, adoptions require an approved application which you can find on our website at austincockerrescue.org

Bailee is a smart, sweet, and deeply loyal companion who forms a special bond with his person. Once he’s all in, he’s truly all in—always happiest right by your side and ready to be your shadow through life’s everyday moments. This darling 9 year old boy has a gentle, loving nature, paired with a cautious side that just means he takes his time to understand the world around him. But once he feels safe, his affection shines through in the most genuine way.Bailee gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but his favorite place will always be right next to his person—where he feels most at home. Story
Valoris is only around a year old, but she already has a past that includes some pretty ruff conditions and a harrowing escape from a coyote! Luckily, she's put all that behind her and now it's nothing but blue skies and rainbows for this darling girl. What we've learned about Valorie is that may be petite in size, but her heart is BIG. She is sweet, affectionate, and always ready for cuddles. She is fully housetrained, loves to play, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. In fact, she truly seems to thrive with a canine companion and would likely be happiest in a home with another friendly dog to romp, play, and snuggle with. She's very young and has all the fun and curiousity of a pup, but possesses the housemanners of a mature dog.At first she didn’t know what to expect being in a home with kind humans and doggies. But she quickly figured it out! Now she's chasing toys, making new dog friends, and curling up beside her foster humans. To see her smile brings joy to every moment. If you're looking for a loving, playful companion with a gentle spirit—and especially if your dog has been hoping for a best friend—this sweet little girl may be the perfect addition to your family.Interested in adoption? Story
ay hello to Rory (affectionately known as Roo)! CSRA rescued this lovely girl from apuppy mill in March of 2025, and she is only now getting the courage to introduce herself.Roo is a gentle, shy girl who is beginning to understand the joy of being a beloved family member. Rescued from a horrific breeding situation, she is taking baby steps every day. She would prefer a calm, patient, female-only home.Roo feels safest around other dogs and will need a home with a gentle, confident dog (or two!) to act as a mentor and friend. New people make her nervous, but she warms up quickly and will ask her person for pets and reassurance. For much of theday, Roo hangs out in or near her covered crate "den" and waits for her foster mom to do something interesting. She does check in regularly for pets and likes to keep her foster mom in sight, just in case there are snacks. Yes, Roo is very food motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement and praise. She has started to come when called, and wiggles and bounces when she's told "good girl!" She’s a joy to work with because every tail wag and tiny moment of trust feels like winning the lottery. But there is a catch. Like many dogs from indoor breeding operations, “outside" is a new and terrifying experience for her. For this reason, housebreaking has been slow, and Roo still uses potty pads. She is not yet able to walkon a leash without hunkering down, and at around 28lbs, she can be a lot to carry. Roo will likely not ever be a "go for walks in the park"; or "hang out on the restaurant patio" type of girl. Loud sounds, starling noises, fast hand motions, or sudden or abrupt experiences are hard for her, and she will hide until she feels safe again. She currently takesinexpensive medication to help with anxiety.Roo is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can continue to grow at her own pace. If you've got a big heart, a soft spot for the underdogs, and maybe a treat ortwo in your pocket, she might just be your perfect companion. Roo is estimated to be 5 years old. Interested in adoption?
