Story
Adorable & adoptable: Jill Munroe. This little girl may be a founding member of the Charles Townsend Detective Agency (if you know, you know), but she is not exactly a little ANGEL. She's working on that part. She can't help it, she's just too PUPPY still! Jill is a petite little girl (around 17-18lbs) who is just a year old--she hasn't gotten the puppy out of her system yet and as best we can tell, doesn't plan on it any time soon. This girl is Playful with a capital P. She operates in cycles of zoomies then crashes for power naps so she can do it all over again. She's as sweet as she can be and loves everybody--dogs and people alike. She LOVES toys.. so much that she can make anything a toy--flip flops? Yep. A lamp? Why not? You kinda have to admire her resourcefulness. Jill's ideal family would appreciate her playful nature and puppy energy. Interested in adoption? Story
Sweetest Mr. Cletus is an affectionate, happy boy who loves cuddling and exploring the world on his morning walks. He’s very low-maintenance and gets along well with other dogs. He is house-trained, well-mannered, and never barks. A true wonder! It’s hard to believe what a a rough start to life Cletus had when you see how well-adjusted and secure he is now. This handsome, resilient boy will make an amazing, loyal pet, and will be so excited to meet you! Cletus is only about a year old and is just 20lbs. Perfect for snuggles. Cletus is heartworm positive and will need an adopter in the Austin/San Antonio area who can take him through treatment at CSRA's expense. Story
Tofu is a major cutie—a sweet, cuddly 1.5 year-old Cockapoo with a heart full of love and a tongue that’s almost always sticking out (seriously… it’s part of his signature look!). This affectionate little guy lives for kisses, snuggles, and being close to his people. If you’re looking for a best friend who wants to be wherever you are, Tofu is your guy.Tofu has a playful puppy spirit and still gets the zoomies like a champ! While he does have some hip and back leg issues that we’re still learning more about, it doesn’t stop him from running, playing, and enjoying life. It’s believed these traits may be inherited. Regardless, Tofu doesn’t let it slow him down and continues to be an active, happy pup.Because he’s still a puppy, Tofu can get a little mouthy when he’s extra excited, but he’s made great progress learning to redirect that energy to his beloved chew toys (which he absolutely loves). For this reason he may need to be in a home with full grown children. He’s also very fond of his toy box… though he’s still trying to understand why throw pillows aren’t considered toys. 😉Tofu is crate trained and does well settling in his kennel. He has come a long way with his potty training and continues to improve, especially with a consistent routine—he may just need a little extra patience and guidance to get fully there. He loves being outside, especially lounging in the grass and soaking up the fresh air. At the end of the day, Tofu’s favorite place is anywhere he can curl up with his human. He truly just wants to be loved and part of a family. With his sweet personality, adorable bleep tongue, and endless affection, Tofu is ready to steal hearts and become someone’s perfect companion.Interested in Adoption? Story
Finnegan. This guy couldn't be more handsome if he tried. We know there's a mix in there, perhaps some golden or some lab? Whatever it is, he's got eyes that'll just steal your heart. Finn is a younger guy--only about a year and a half but unlike some of the more cuckoo youngsters, he's got a calm and sweet disposition. He's very passive and takes direction from dogs that are much smaller than he is (our boy is about 40lbs! must be that "golden" thing). Finn is not all that interested in toys, but He LOVES people and would prefer to cuddle as much as possible. I mean, it's hard to turn down a good cuddle with a sweet boy, right? This guy would love his own person who would appreciate some good quiet company. interested in adoption? our adoptions require an approved application which you can find on our website at austincockerrescue.org Already approved applicants can email us at woof@austincockerrescue.org We adopt to within the state of Texas.

Story
You know, sometimes we get dogs whose looks do not match their personalities. Like dainty little girls who act like rottweilers, but we are so happy to report that Jasper is every bit as sweet as he looks (and boy does he look sweet!). This baby boy has some interesting features--for one, he's a chocolate merle which is a bit like having a cookies and cream coat, but also he has heterochromia, which means that his eyes are two different colors--neither of them the regular brown that most dogs have. Jasper is only a baby at 7mths old but he's already pretty much full grown. He hasn't lost his puppy softness and sweetness. He's VERY cuddly and takes each "down" moment as a chance to get as close to you as he can. But being a puppy still, there's a lot of play time happening too. He's pretty much crate and house trained and also pretty darn good on a leash. Jasper wants to kiss everyone he meets which results in some puppy jumping at first but he is starting to "get" that sitting pretty gets him more positive attention. He's just a very VERY good boy (and beautiful to boot!).Interested in adoption? our adoptions require an approved application which you can find on our website at austincockerrescue.org Already approved applicants can email us at woof@austincockerrescue.org with their interest. Story
Are you looking for a petite little princess who will cuddle you all day long and let you put bows in her hair? We're so sorry, we don't have one of those. We've got Fawn. To be sure, she is a tiny little poof of spaniel but "ladylike" has not entered the chat here. Fawn is whirling dervish of playtime, chewing on things you thought were lost and thieving "snacks" she manages to disappear off the table when you're not looking. Fawn is a year and a half old, but is possible stuck in Perpetual Puppy Mode. Her size (14lbs) does not do a good job of convincing anyone she's a grown adult either. She is goofy, hilarious and extremely affectionate in that "I'm going to be 2 inches from your Face at ALL TIMES" way. She loves playing with other dogs unless its dinnertime--around food she is convinced she is a 200lb beast that cannot be messed with (so she eats in a crate). Housetraining is... a concept we are working on. She remains unconvinced that playtime is something that should be interrupted for pottybreaks. She has gorgeous spots and a scrunchface that won't quit. We won't blame you for falling in love but her furever family will need to be one who can usher her through Puppy Mode (even if it lasts).
