She’s smart and eager to learn, picking up new tricks quickly, and she’s just as happy curling up for cuddles at home. With new people, Holly may seem big and serious at first, but she warms up quickly and shows her gentle, affectionate side. Ice cubes and tasty treats are her absolute favorites and a great way to win her heart!She is great on a leash!! She has not bee around other animals or kids, but her young age and personality suggests she would be ok.She is located in Houston, TX and can be transported to most states for a $300 fee.

This lovely girl is Scarlett, a four-year-old spayed female tri-headed white rough Collie.  That is a mouthful!  She is a little on the shy side, but loving.  She came to us as an owner relinquishment from the family of a woman who died unexpectedly in Kansas.  Along with Scarlett, came the rest of her little family.  Her mate, Mac.  And her two adolescent sons, Finnegan and Henry.  She enjoys the company of other dogs, as well as cats, but would not mind being an only dog to absorb all the love in the world. Scarlett has had her kibble changed to a more appropriate adult Collie food.  She is reluctant to eat due to all the changes in her life over the past week.  She has gone from her beloved owner to being locked outside, taken by car to a foster home in Wichita, moved to Colorado to another foster home.  Poor kid!  Dogs are such creatures of routine and her routine is totally disrupted and confused.  But Scarlett will make herself at home shortly with lots of handling and cuddling.  That is the basic nature of our remarkable Collie dogs. Scarlett has been brought up to date on vaccines.  Her bloodwork is great and she is heartworm negative and microchipped.  All she needs is time to figure out what has happened in her life and how to make the best of her time forward.  I know she would love you.  If you would promise her forever. Mac is the father of the two-year-old male pups on the website with lovely Scarlett being the mama.  He is a glorious large sable and white rough coated Collie with a lot of personal charm.  Mac happily goes up to all men, women and children to introduce himself.  He adores other dogs and has no issue with cats.  He was very much loved by his owner who died unexpectedly about a week ago.  The only thing Mac knows for sure right now is change.  Left outside after his owner died.  A long car trip from a small town in Kansas to a foster home in Wichita.  Another long car trip from Wichita to Pueblo West, CO.  A bit of poking and prodding including drawing of blood at a vet clinic.  Being a part of a blended dog family.  If you think of this from the perspective of a pooch used to a routine life, all of a sudden having nothing to cling to.  It is heartbreaking. Mac is a 5-year-old neutered male that has been brought UTD on vaccines and has great bloodwork, is heartworm negative and microchipped.  He has recently started on a more appropriate diet for an adult Collie.  He eats well and sleeps well and enjoys time outside, especially when there is snow on the ground.  We have not found anything that Mac does not enjoy! Henry is a 2-year-old neutered male sable and white rough coated Collie that deserves more personal attention than he has had.  His owner loved him, and all the other dogs in the household, but young Collies are shaped by the affection and direction of their caregivers.  Henry is responding well to his foster family while we have his vet care completed.  His vaccines all on board except his lepto booster which will be done in 3 weeks.  His baseline bloodwork is good and he is heartworm negative.  Hallelujah!  He will be neutered on Tuesday with IV fluids and all the bells and whistles.  Microchipped with a Home Again chip and including a lifetime database listing. Although Henry is a work in progress, what you will see is the quintessential heart of a Collie and the same gentle nature.  He loves the company of other dogs (other than his dad), will pick up a tug toy to start a game and run madly around the yard with his tail flying and a look of complete joy on his beautiful face.  He has done fine with cats in a limited way.  And he enjoys children although he would be too rowdy for toddlers.  Older calm kids would be fine.   Henry is beginning to learn about being crated for specific periods of time to help with housebreaking.  All the dogs in his previous household used a doggie door to go out to go potty. And all four of the Collies that have come from this situation are readjusting to going out a regular door to go potty.  It is a time for all of them to learn what all good dogs should know.  Those of us with opposable thumbs should exercise gentle understanding and patience when it comes to retraining dogs. Finnegan is a two-year-old neutered male rough coated Collie.  He is a tri-headed white with one ear and up and the other ear down.  Just made for kissing.  Finnegan came to us with 3 other Collies from a sad situation where his 80-year-old owner died suddenly.  They were all much loved.  But they did not get as much individual attention as young Collies deserve.  Finnegan will be playing catch-up to learn important skills such as reliable house breaking and basic obedience.  But he is learning quickly and will look to his new owners to bring him along. We have had to begin at the beginning for vaccines but he is now UTD with DA2PPL and Rabies.  He will have a lepto booster in 3 weeks.  Finnegan will be neutered on Tuesday with IV fluids and all the bells and whistles.  He has been microchipped with a Home Again chip and will have a lifetime database listing included with his adoption.   Finn is a lover.  No one has to teach him about affection.  That is a part of his Collie make-up as surely as his love for children.  Toddlers may be too small for a rowdy adolescent dog.  But a 10-year-old child and a Collie are wonderful together.  Most of what you saw on the Lassie TV show was so true.  But if Timmy falls in the well.....we just don't know.  LOL Previous Collie experience will put you first in line with us.  Collies are so incredible sensitive emotionally and physically that to know them is to love them.  Who will love Finnegan best?    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 24, 2026, 8:38 pm

Hi, I’m Addie! I’m an 8-year-old Border Collie weighing 41 lbs. I walk nicely on a leash and LOVE to play ball—it’s my absolute favorite thing in the world! With a tennis ball in play, nothing else matters. I’d do best in a home that enjoys playing ball with me from time to time and keeping me mentally engaged. I prefer to be the one and only dog, as I like having my people and space to myself, and I’m happiest when I don’t have to share the spotlight. That said, give me a tennis ball and I’m completely in my element. I have a gorgeous smile, love belly rubs, and enjoy snuggling just as much as playtime. I’m looking for a home where I can relax, be adored, and still use my smart Border Collie brain and instincts. (The herding ball is a close second favorite toy!) A meet and greet at the shelter is required to make sure I’m a great match for my future family. ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
