Story
Lily Mae is a classic gorgeous rough collie. Just about a year old, she is full of energy, but her ultimate goal is to be a lap dog. She loves to wrestle and run in the yard with her foster siblings and play tug of war, but then she wants to be cuddled and loved by her human. Lily Mae thinks toys are great, particularly jolly balls and anything meant for chewing or tugging. She’s house trained, is pretty good on a leash, and is working on crate training. Lily Mae is hearing impaired and is learning hand signals. She quickly learned “sit” and is working on “off” and “leave it.” She needs a home with a fenced-in yard and would prefer one with another large, playful dog. No tiny kids, please, only because she doesn’t realize how big she is and is very exuberant. Lily Mae is very sweet, very loving, and very Velcro. She’s being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##1974523##

Story
Look at handsome Maverick. This year-old pup is a gorgeous collie and Australian shepherd mix. He’s incredibly sweet and fantastically smart and never met anyone he didn’t love immediately. He loves to snuggle, play tug of war, and race around the dog park. He thinks toys are awesome and will happily play with balls, squeakers, stuffed animals, and tugs. Maverick absolutely loves other dogs and is very social. He’d prefer a home with another friendly and playful dog pal so he has someone to romp with all day. He knows so many commands including sit, stay, lay down, leave it, free, side, and spin. He’s house trained, has pretty good leash skills, and is good with kids. Maverick needs a home with a physical, fenced yard where someone is around much of the time. He thrives when he’s with other dogs and his people. He wants an active family that will take him for walks and keep up with his training. Maverick is being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##1960538##

Inga has been overlooked for far too long. She's an absolute lover, and a brainiac! She knows more than your average pup - sit, down, stay, place, touch, back up, shake, kennel up, roll over, spin, and the list goes on! If she doesn't know it yet, it will take her no time at all! She's also been started in sport dog training! She catches a disc, has medium food drive, and high toy drive. She knows catch, leave it, center, heel, out, take, and drop it (if you're a sports person, you know how tricky those can be to master)! She would thrive with someone as smart and active as she is, but don't let her enthusiasm fool you, she's a perfect snuggle buddy and has an excellent off switch and can be calm in her kennel for longer periods of time if needed. She's just the best! The adoption fee is currently waived. She is also receiving training from Good Dog Enrichment and Training, who will support her training for life!

Story
Can a Collie get a break here?? Yes, we think I am a collie mix and what a handsome boy I am!! I did not look this handsome when I arrived at the rescue, but a DEDICATED foster took me in and nursed me back to health and (even though it will be hard for her), I am READY for my FUREVER HOME!!! I came from a plea at a local animal control facility- I had been attacked by three other dogs at the facility who broke into my kennel and mauled me pretty bad :( My foster mom saw the post and agreed to help, and HELP she DID!!! Even though not a medical foster, she learned ALL the things she had to do to help my body and my soul heal. My back end/sides were torn OPEN on each side, numerous bite marks and punctures and infection when she got me. I spent quite a bit of time at the rescue vet for debridement and treatment of the very serious infections and then she took me home and changed my dressings daily and then weekly and then no more dressings!! I am a very very sweet and cuddly boy. House/crate trained, great with other dogs and everyone I meet (except kitties- not a fan). I am a medium sized boy and I am ready for you!!! My ideal family will love and appreciate my survivor personality, my cuddly and happy temperament and will keep me safe from harm for as long as they are blessed to have me :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. I want A "FUR"ever" HOME!  Read the FULL Bio to see where I am located and contact info:    2024055 Say hello to Bronx! Bronx is around 2yrs old, 43lbs Collie mix.  Bronx came to us from an animal control.  His owner didn't want him anymore after having him tied outside his whole life. Bronx suffered multiple fly bites to both ears, his fur oily and matted. He craved human interaction.  Well now, check out our boy! Bronx has been great.  He loves all of our volunteers and even liked being brushed.  Bronx keeps his kennel clean, has not torn up his blankets, and been good around the other dogs (we will require a meet and greet if you have other dogs though). Bronx does jump and still a little mouthy while playing so will need more training.  Please help us find a home for our boy!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Nancy is a young Australian cattle dog who would just love to sit on your lap and be cuddled all day. She’s smart and full of personality with spurts of play time then lots of chill time.  Nancy is about 3 or 4 years old. She is completely house trained and is excellent in her crate. She’s good on a leash and knows several commands including “sit” and “kennel.” She is particularly motivated if treats are involved! Nancy loves other dogs but can get pretty rowdy when she plays. She would be great with a dog buddy as long as the dog is accepting, playful, and not easily offended by silly antics. One of Nancy’s favorite things is to talk to all her favorite toys. Nancy needs a home with a fenced-in yard and would prefer someone who has herding dog experience. No kids under 10 please. Nancy is being fostered in the St. Louis area. ##1270950##

Story
Gabriel came to us from a rural shelter in the Carolinas. This young dog had been seriously injured after being hit by a car. The impact broke his leg and caused his eye to pop out. Although veterinarians were able to save his eye, he wasn’t able to see out of it, so it eventually had to be removed. He has recovered quickly from that procedure as well as surgery to fix his leg. Although Gabriel is only a couple years old, he totally acts like a puppy. He is extremely curious, energetic, and playful, but also loves to snuggle. He adores playing tug, thinks chew toys are fantastic, and has a blast with stuffed toys and his Jolly Ball. Gabriel is doing great with potty training and is working on leash and crate manners. He’s a quick learner and knows sit, kennel up, and hush. He is goofy and can be rowdy, but he totally wants to be a good boy. Gabriel is good with dogs that like to play as hard as he does. He needs a home with a fenced-in yard. He’d be fine as an only dog or would have fun with a well-matched dog pal. He’d love a family who might be interested in dog sports or other fun activities and who will spend time continuing to teach him how to be a great dog.  Gabriel wants to play and wants to be loved and cuddled. He certainly deserves it after his traumatic experiences. He’s being fostered in the St. Louis area. ##1864447##

Story
Thor is an incredibly handsome young border collie. He is just over a year old and has loads of energy. He loves to chase and run after other dogs when they’re playing but is unsure how to play with toys and balls and other fun things. Thor is good on a leash and is great in the house. He’s doing very well with potty training and has already learned several commands. He’s good with other dogs and good with kids. He’d love an active home where someone has experience with agility or with herding dogs. He needs a physical, fenced yard for safe running and playing. Thor was rescued by police from a home where he was abandoned and left alone in a crate. He is surprisingly very sweet, loving, and anxious to please and just wants to be loved. Thor is being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##2088919##
