Story
Meet Ned!Ned came to us after being found as a stray, so much of his history is still a mystery. We estimate him to be around 2 years old, though that is our best guess.Breed-wise, Ned is a bit of a puzzle too. We believe he may have some Rough Collie in his mix, especially because of his distinctive long, slender nose that doesn’t always show well in photos. We also suspect there may be some Coonhound in there somewhere. Whatever his DNA says, it certainly created one very handsome and very sweet dog.Ned is incredibly well mannered and has what we can only describe as an old-soul personality. He is gentle, easygoing, and seems to take everything in stride. He knows some basic commands, loves meeting people, and truly does not seem to know a stranger. He will happily walk right up to someone new looking for attention and affection. The wonderful woman who found Ned cared for him for several weeks before he came to the shelter. During that time, he did great with her other dogs, children, and even her chickens! Cats are currently unknown since there were none in the home. Based on his gentle nature, we are hopeful he may do well with them too, but we will update his bio if we learn otherwise.Ned is one of those dogs who just seems easy to be around. Sweet, steady, friendly, and quietly charming, he is ready to trade his days as a stray for a home and family of his own.His adoption fee is $200 and this includes his neuter, vaccines, heartworm tested negative, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and a microchip that we register for you. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This boy was dumped with siblings and is a sweetheart! He is very friendly and gets along with other dogs. He has some housetraining and also knows how to use a dog door. He has done okay on a leash and in a crate. He will need daily exercise but is not overly energetic. He is ready to get a forever home.

Story
If you are looking for a dog that is affectionate, good with children, loyal, intelligent, active and loves their family consider Honey. She is one of the sweetest pups I've had! Both she and her sister Flower have very sweet temperaments and love to snuggle. They will be with you every moment. They love being outside and will be great exercise buddies for you because collies love to go for walks. Collies do not do well home alone or confined. They would do best with an active family and a fenced yard. And they're really beautiful dogs! Adoption fee is $445 and is available on 4/22. All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile. After we review your completed survey we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sundays and Mondays and will not be processing any applications on that day. Do get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). Counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and leash to pick up. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart: Park in the PetSmart Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. PCH supports a 21-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we are not able to provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
Please meet Dudley. We believe him to be around 12-13 years old. Dudley was the best boy of my wife’s uncle. Her uncle suddenly passed away and “uncle Dudley” needed a new home. We brought Dudley home with us until we can find a place that would be a loving home. Unfortunately that option has fallen through. With 2 huskies of our own, we find ourselves looking for a secure home for this good boy. So far he has been good with our two pups. With crazy work life we keep our pups separate so we feel a home that can give him more time would be the most loving option.
