Story
A beautiful update from Sybil's foster :) ------ I've had Sybil for about two months now. She was with a foster who couldn't keep her anymore, so I met her immediately and knew she had a great temperament and was a good dog. It was definitely worth bringing her home and working with her. I have a kennel for the foster dogs, and they all have their own large yard. And man, is she having fun! She loves romping in her yard. She meets the other dogs when I walk them, prancing around as they go by her run. She is one happy dog. She has a good amount of energy but isn't hyper. She is doing great in my kennel. She is pretty good about staying calm and not joining in the barkfest when everyone else is excited. She's great with me and independent, but she likes her pats occasionally. She leans on my leg and sometimes falls over for belly rubs. When I clean her yard, she follows me around. She's not overly demanding, which I appreciate. She's going to make someone a very dedicated and fun friend. She's a good dog and will be even better and more stable when she leaves here. She's worth the effort and will be an excellent companion for some lucky person.

Story
Meet Canon! This adorable 4-month-old pup is a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’s an adventurous and curious soul who loves to explore. Canon is a smart boy, and he’s already mastered the art of sitting for treats – he’s a total snack lover! He’s mostly potty trained, though he still needs the occasional reminder. Canon is especially fond of snuggling up for cozy cuddle sessions and showering you with sweet kisses. He gets along great with both kids and other dogs, making him an ideal family companion. He’s full of energy and loves running and playing outside. Canon would do best in a home with a fenced yard as he has not perfected his leash skills yet.  Oh, and don’t forget his cuteness – he has the sweetest curly tail and just one pink toe that adds to his charm. If you're looking for a playful, loving, and loyal friend, Canon is the pup for you!   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $275 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Kodak is such a sweet natured and sensitive lady. She does take some time to warm up to new people and can be timid at first. Once she does, she loves to cuddle up in your leg nook and get ear scritches.    With time, her goofy and sweet side start to shine! She has such a playful and quirky personality. She LOVES to play with toys and bones, but really loves to play with other dogs! She'd do best on a home with another dog.   She is a total foodie and can be motivated to learn almost anything for treats. She currently knows "kennel up", "sit" and "down." She is crate trained and is doing excellent with potty training.   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Sparrow!   This fun boy is ready to find his forever home! He may he more Husky than Border Collie, but he is 100% a good time. Sparrow is an energetic boy who loves to be outside and would be the perfect hiking/ running partner. He is quick and agile, so he may also make a great agility prospect!   'Little Wolf,' as his foster mom affectionately calls him, is a young boy- under a year- who is learning how to be a gentleman in the house. We are working on basic obedience skills, appropriate house behavior, and kennel training. He would love if his future family would continue training and working with him! He likes using his brain- especially when it means snackos!   Sparrow would also love a fur sibling to wrestle and play with! He does well with all of his foster siblings, and goes to daycare every week and does well with all different breeds there. He takes corrections well, and isn't looking for any trouble.   He travels well in the car, and after play time will contently lay with a bone in front of the AC register!   While Sparrow hasn't tried to escape, he has easily slipped through open doors. So he is currently working on threshold manners, but because of this potential to run, a fenced yard will be preferred for this boy!   Sparrow is being fostered in Chesterton, IN, but meet and greets will happen at the Truth About Dogs in Plymouth, IN.   Any questions about Sparrow can be sent to his foster mom, Kaitlin at: kaitlin.rogers@valpo.edu   If you have any questions about Sparrow.  You can complete an application to adopt Sparrow or any of the dogs on our website at  www.comebyebcrescue.org  .     ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application . Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Spirit is a young Border Collie who was adopted recently by her current owner from what that owner describes as 'a bad situation.'  Her owner says Spirit is a lovely dog but is not fitting in with the resident dogs in her current home, and so is available for adoption. While Spirit and the resident dogs in her current home do not get along, this does not mean that Spirit will react negatively to all dogs in general; however, a potential owner should be aware of this and that Spirit may want to be an only dog in her home.  She is accepting of adults and older children, but will chase cats if the opportunity arises.  Since Spirit is living in Kentucky and is not being kept on heartworm preventive, she will need to be tested for heartworm and a potential owner should make this a priority. Spirit's current owner says that she is a 'Shy loving border collie that needs someone who knows how to work with them. Might not like other dogs.' If you are interested in meeting Spirit or learning more about her, please contact her current owner at hatfield.michelle@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 3:42 pm
