Story
I’ve had Sybil for a while now, which is OK with me as she is my best and easiest dog in the kennel. But, she is ready for her forever home and her forever person. She was a bit of a challenge when I got her, but she has recovered and then some. I did do a fair amount of training work with her, she is a easy student and a very quick study. She loves being out in her yard seeing the world, barking at deer, romping w/the other dogs when we go by on our walks and most of all, hunting mice. Which is a bit annoying as she does create some good holes. Sybil is good on a leash and I enjoy our walks together. She’s an energetic dog, but not a hyper dog. She is the only dog in my kennel not to bark when i walk the other dogs. She calmly waits for her turn. Sybil is independent, but also loves her person and will be a dedicated dog. She likes people but seems to meet women better than men. Which isn’t unusual. She also does well with other dogs with a proper introduction. She does seem to be choosey though, likes and dislikes dogs for reason I can’t understand. Sybil isn’t an anybody dog. She is very smart and needs someone who is a bit dog savvy and will be the alpha leader. Being the alpha leader is not a physical thing, it’s how you think, your attitude, and demeanor. She’s an awesome dog. And she would like her forever home. If that someone is you and you would like to meet her.

Story
Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $300 (in TX)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jesse, a young Border Collie about 2 years old, is up for adoption through the Midwest Border Collie Rescue in northern Illinois.  Jesse is a terrific boy who hasn't gotten the attention he should because he is a bi-color smooth-coat BC, which may seem unusual to some.  (However, smoothies are the best when it comes to coat maintainence, you should know!) Jesse is being fostered in northern Illinois and MWBCR says that he is truly a gem of a dog:  loyal, smart, loves to learn, gets along with all other dogs, not over-the-top in energy level, and with great house manners.  He's very treat and ball-motivated, which would seem to make him an excellent candidate for dog sports.   If you're interested in meeting or learning more about Jesse, please reach out to Midwest Border Collie Rescue about him. About 1 year old • Plymouth, IN Toby is an adorable young Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a toy box full of favorites! This boy lives for toys — toss one, squeak one, crinkle one, and he’s instantly your biggest fan. He rides beautifully in the car, enjoys daycare, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’ll happily chase the foster’s cat for fun, but he’s never shown any intent to harm. Toby can get overwhelmed in new environments and is suspicious of strangers at first — but once he feels safe, he becomes incredibly affectionate, silly, and totally himself. In places he knows, he’s a very normal, happy, fun dog. Toby’s Highlights LOVES toys — seriously, they’re his love language Great with other dogs Rides well in the car Cat-curious but harmless Very affectionate once comfortable Enjoys daycare and is social there Needs time and patience in new environments If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive, toy-loving boy who will adore you once he trusts you, Toby might just be your perfect match.   Fostered in Plymouth, IN   Please contact stephodellbc@hotmail.com if you have any questions about Toby.  You can complete an application to adopt Toby or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org .    ***  The potential adopter will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 9, 2026, 3:57 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact alhargarten@gmail.com for more information about this pet.Meet Mongo!! Border Collie/Australian Shepherd Mix — Male, 2 Years Old Mongo is a beautiful red-and-white Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix weighing about 55 pounds. He was found roaming in Batesville, Indiana and picked up as a stray, so we don’t know much about his past. What we do know is that he’s social, affectionate, and eager to connect with both people and animals. Mongo is very interested in other dogs and cats and has not shown any aggression toward them. He is friendly with new people, adults, and children, and he loves attention. Because he doesn’t always realize his size and is prone to jumping up on people, he will need continued work on manners. For now, he may be best suited to families without very young children or older/frail individuals who could be knocked over. His energy level is moderate-high, but he still benefits from regular exercise and structure. He enjoys walks, is good on a leash, and does best with several outings a day to run off some energy. Mongo is crate trained, still learning his house manners, and shows a lot of potential as he continues adjusting to home life. He is being fostered in Westville, Indiana.  Please contact alhargarten@gmail.com if you have questions about Mongo.      *** The potential adopter will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that the foster dog is not a good match for the applicant and we do not process their application.
