Story
I’ve had Sybil for a while now, which is OK with me as she is my best and easiest dog in the kennel. But, she is ready for her forever home and her forever person. She was a bit of a challenge when I got her, but she has recovered and then some. I did do a fair amount of training work with her, she is a easy student and a very quick study. She loves being out in her yard seeing the world, barking at deer, romping w/the other dogs when we go by on our walks and most of all, hunting mice. Which is a bit annoying as she does create some good holes. Sybil is good on a leash and I enjoy our walks together. She’s an energetic dog, but not a hyper dog. She is the only dog in my kennel not to bark when i walk the other dogs. She calmly waits for her turn. Sybil is independent, but also loves her person and will be a dedicated dog. She likes people but seems to meet women better than men. Which isn’t unusual. She also does well with other dogs with a proper introduction. She does seem to be choosey though, likes and dislikes dogs for reason I can’t understand. Sybil isn’t an anybody dog. She is very smart and needs someone who is a bit dog savvy and will be the alpha leader. Being the alpha leader is not a physical thing, it’s how you think, your attitude, and demeanor. She’s an awesome dog. And she would like her forever home. If that someone is you and you would like to meet her.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Snickers is a resident in the Campbell County (TN) Animal Center, and the staff at the Center are seeking a foster or permanent home for him, as he is stressed in the shelter environment.   If you are interested in Snickers, please contact the Animal Center through their website or at the phone number given below.  Here is what they say about Snickers, a young BC/Aussie mix: Do you need a little Snickers in your life?? A yummy nougat encased in creamy chocolate to “make you feel you” as the famous advertisement states. This wonderful boy is a Aussie border collie mix. He is approximately 3 years old and weighs 60 pounds. Snickers has the kindest eyes that will melt your heart. To be honest he is struggling in the shelter. Although he is safe, knows he has delicious meals served daily and daily walks he would benefit greatly being in a foster or permanent home. Snickers is a fluffy black and white male, with white front legs and black back legs. He is very smart and is craving to be mentally and physically challenged. His breed mix desires to be trained, given commands and lots of mental stimulus. The shelter is a very loud and is over capacity so he is fearful of his current situation. Each day he improves and when he goes outside for his walks he does a cute little trot of a dance to celebrate. Snickers tail is the short stub that wiggles when he is outside smelling everything Mother Nature has to offer. So what does Snickers need?? A loving patient family that will allow him to relax and trust humans. He would enjoy a bubble bath and a nice brushing to make his black and white coat shine. Snickers is food motivated so his training will be fun and engaging for his new partner. So come in and meet this precious soul and let your heart melt with his sugary sweetness.   The Campbell County Animal Shelter adoption center is open Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00 - 5:30 PM at 749 Towe String Road, Jacksboro, TN 37757   Phone: 423-566-8018   Adoption applications can also be completed online at fccanimals.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 2:31 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Spirit is a young Border Collie who was adopted recently by her current owner from what that owner describes as 'a bad situation.'  Her owner says Spirit is a lovely dog but is not fitting in with the resident dogs in her current home, and so is available for adoption. While Spirit and the resident dogs in her current home do not get along, this does not mean that Spirit will react negatively to all dogs in general; however, a potential owner should be aware of this and that Spirit may want to be an only dog in her home.  She is accepting of adults and older children, but will chase cats if the opportunity arises.  Since Spirit is living in Kentucky and is not being kept on heartworm preventive, she will need to be tested for heartworm and a potential owner should make this a priority. Spirit's current owner says that she is a 'Shy loving border collie that needs someone who knows how to work with them. Might not like other dogs.' If you are interested in meeting Spirit or learning more about her, please contact her current owner at hatfield.michelle@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 2:31 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rambo — An Amazing Personality in a Handsome Package Age: 1 year, 1 month Location: Plymouth, IN Rambo is a joyful, big-hearted young dog with a truly wonderful personality. He’s goofy, loving, and instantly charming — the kind of dog who makes friends with adults almost immediately and wins hearts without even trying. He’s social with other dogs and does great in playgroups at doggy daycare. Rambo reads canine cues well, plays appropriately, and enjoys being part of the fun. A true ball dog and water lover, Rambo is always ready for playtime. He’s also learned how to entertain himself nicely — give him toys, a bone, or a chew, and he’ll happily focus on that, content to play on his own. Like many young dogs, he may chew toys that aren’t his if given the chance, so durable chews and hard toys are his favorites. Despite his playful energy, Rambo has a great off-switch. When it’s time to relax, he’s right there beside you — curled up on the couch, leaning in close, and soaking up all the cuddles. He’s truly a big cuddle bug. Rambo walks nicely on a leash, has excellent recall to his name, and is fully crate trained — he even runs to his crate at mealtime. He’s completed 8 weeks of basic puppy classes and continues building great manners through regular doggy daycare. Rambo is great with adults and has been selective with kids, so he’ll do best in a home that understands puppy boundaries and can provide calm, positive interactions. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate young dog with an amazing personality — one who can play hard, settle easily, and be your loyal sidekick — Rambo is ready for a fresh start in a forever home. Sweet, playful, and impossible not to love. Interested in Rambo? Contact cripecasey@gmail.com with any questions or complete an adoption application at www.comebyebcrescue.org. Application fee will be refunded if it’s determined by the foster parent that it’s not a good match and the application is not processed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 4, 2026, 8:20 pm
