Story
Frost is a beautiful border collie who can easily get you hooked with his blue eyes and fluffy ears. While he possesses all of the great physical attributes of a border collie, Frost is as mellow as they come with no interest in herding or nipping behaviors common in the breed. The very chill Frost enjoys naps on his dog bed, casual strolls in the backyard and cuddling on the couch with his family to catch a great binge series. When he isn't napping, Frost will typically have his favorite toy in tow and keep tabs on his people. Work from home? Frost is the perfect office companion and foot warmer. Enjoy traveling? Frost easily and quickly settles into a vehicle and will most likely be napping before you leave the driveway.  Frost is more than just a good looking co-pilot, he's fully housebroken and knows hand signals for sit and lie down and has a short stay. He isn't a surfer (including countertops), isn't a big jumper and he's too proud to beg at the dinner table. Frost loves his family with his whole heart and as a result does have some separation anxiety. With a bit of initial patience and very little medication, Frost will eventually settle in and can then be left alone with no concerns. He also isn't interested in sharing his family with other pets (primarily cats or dogs). Frost likes to have his humans all to himself and doesn't care to play with other dogs. When Frost does venture out on his own, he'll need a fenced-in yard. While not a runner, Frost is a surprisingly quick wanderer who will simply put his head down and meander in a direction with little regard to where he's actually going. Frost's indiscriminate exploring is made easier due to his deafness (hence the hand signals mentioned above) and limited peripheral vision. Frost easily navigates stairs and can safely run around throughout his surroundings so there's no detrimental impact to his well-being, he's just missing an understanding family who might enjoy impressing their friends with doggie sign language. Frost is very well-behaved, but isn't overly interested in playing or the type of cuddling that comes from small children. He would do best in a home where the children are old enough to respect his space when he wants it. We know Frost will need someone patient and understanding to work with him but the love he will give in return will make it all worthwhile. Our adoption donation is $300.00.  This includes up-to-date vetting, microchipping, heartworm, flea and tick prevention, and spay/neuter. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns along the way.  Hopefully, rescuing one of our pups would provide him a chance to benefit from all you have to give! ##939766##

Wilson is a cutie and so smart. And he makes the most fun noises as if he is trying to talk! He is 100% housebroken and is perfect when left alone in the house when his family goes away. In the evenings he can turn into a great couch potato on the sofa while his people watch TV or read. Wilson sleeps on the sofa or on his human's bed, which he shares well with another dog, and he sleeps well without disturbing anyone. Wilson's foster parents are retired so he is used to being loose all day and in and out of the house. Wilson weighs 55 pounds. Location: Foster home The adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. Anderson rides well in the car and is great in his crate.  He's food motivated and likes to play fetch.  This handsome boy will entertain himself with toys.  Anderson LOVES to play in the water!!!!!Anderson's perfect home is with an active family, as he loves to swim and go on walks and hikes in addition to playing in the yard.  Since he has proven himself to be a fence jumper, he needs a physical fence greater than 4 feet.  Anderson will need careful supervision in the yard to prevent any impulsive ideas about a leap.  Dog sports are not his thing for medical reasons, but if you are looking for a great companion who loves to snuggle and just hang with you, check him out!      Anderson was found as a stray in Southern Indiana and is now being fostered in Westville, IN  He is 1 year old and 34 pounds but should be closer to 40. Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Duchess is the sweetest Australian shepherd senior. She was found as a stray, wandering the streets, and was so emaciated and lethargic that the shelter workers who found her didn’t think she would make it. Now, not only is she feeling better, but she has figured out how much she loves soft beds, people, and even playing ball. Duchess is about 13 years old. She has limited hearing and some vision issues, but she certainly is able to communicate with her people. She loves attention and will chase a ball or toy if you toss it nearby. She spends most of the day snuggled in her bed, but she will perk up every once in a while and really likes to wander around the yard. Duchess is completely potty trained and is fine in a crate, but she doesn’t need one. She’s very good on a leash. She walks slowly but enjoys sniffing and strolling. She’s interested in other dogs but doesn’t interact with them much. She’d prefer a single-story home or one with just a few steps. A fenced-in yard would be perfect so she can explore outdoors safely. Her ideal forever home would be relatively quiet, yet with people around. She’s fine alone but enjoys the company. She’s very quiet and truly just wants to be loved. Duchess is being fostered in the St. Louis area and she sure would love to spend her days with someone who can give her the love and attention she deserves.  ##1960539##

Story
The tango is a dance that focuses on flair, love, and playful movement. We think our little Tango puppy was well-named. This Aussie mix is sweet, loving, and snuggly. But he’s also very playful and full of personality and can even be independent at times. He is a very busy, very nosy boy who always likes to know what’s going on. And he looks great while he’s doing it! Tango has so many favorite activities. He loves to explore, play tug of war, and sit on his person’s lap. Tango mostly loves other dogs and wants to run and wrestle with them but he needs some time to warm up to them. Tango is hearing and vision impaired, but it doesn't stop him from dancing through life. He is a smart boy and has already learned “sit” and is working on “come” and “stay.” He’s also doing great with house training and crate training. His ideal home will have a fenced-in yard and another dog buddy. And perhaps a dance floor. ##1475452##

Story
Devante has the most fantastic mane of hair. He looks a little like a lion and he certainly has the big cat’s bravery. But this sweet mini Aussie has a gentle heart. Devante was hit by a car dodging traffic and is recuperating well after surgery to mend a broken leg. Just about a year or two old, this wonderful pup is vision and hearing impaired. He can see and hear a bit and navigates the world well. He loves to go out and run around the backyard, but inside he’s quite happy to nap around his people. He has a great time playing with his canine foster sister and enjoys checking out the neighborhood on short walks. He’ll play with toys sometimes, but really is happiest just being near his foster family.  Devante is good in the car, is working on house training and leash walking, and does well in the crate when he’s alone. At night, he prefers sleeping in his dog bed around his people. He would love a home where people are around most of the time. He’d prefer a fenced-in yard for safe exploring. He’d love having another dog to play with, but he’d be fine being the only pup as long as he got loads of attention. This sweet and handsome lion is being fostered in the St. Louis area. ##1840777##
