Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Snickers is a resident in the Campbell County (TN) Animal Center, and the staff at the Center are seeking a foster or permanent home for him, as he is stressed in the shelter environment.   If you are interested in Snickers, please contact the Animal Center through their website or at the phone number given below.  Here is what they say about Snickers, a young BC/Aussie mix: Do you need a little Snickers in your life?? A yummy nougat encased in creamy chocolate to “make you feel you” as the famous advertisement states. This wonderful boy is a Aussie border collie mix. He is approximately 3 years old and weighs 60 pounds. Snickers has the kindest eyes that will melt your heart. To be honest he is struggling in the shelter. Although he is safe, knows he has delicious meals served daily and daily walks he would benefit greatly being in a foster or permanent home. Snickers is a fluffy black and white male, with white front legs and black back legs. He is very smart and is craving to be mentally and physically challenged. His breed mix desires to be trained, given commands and lots of mental stimulus. The shelter is a very loud and is over capacity so he is fearful of his current situation. Each day he improves and when he goes outside for his walks he does a cute little trot of a dance to celebrate. Snickers tail is the short stub that wiggles when he is outside smelling everything Mother Nature has to offer. So what does Snickers need?? A loving patient family that will allow him to relax and trust humans. He would enjoy a bubble bath and a nice brushing to make his black and white coat shine. Snickers is food motivated so his training will be fun and engaging for his new partner. So come in and meet this precious soul and let your heart melt with his sugary sweetness.   The Campbell County Animal Shelter adoption center is open Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00 - 5:30 PM at 749 Towe String Road, Jacksboro, TN 37757   Phone: 423-566-8018   Adoption applications can also be completed online at fccanimals.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 2:31 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The Center for Animal Rescue and Enrichment (CARE) of St Louis MO is seeking a forever home for Nancy Drew, a young BC mix who has been in their shelter since last September when she was picked up stray in the St Louis area. Nancy is a sweet young dog who is in need of a home where dog behavior is understood and she can receive the training she needs.  Her puppy behaviors of jumping and barking can be managed and the sooner she is adopted and out of the shelter, the sooner that positive training can begin, which will allow Nancy to be the friendly youngster that the shelter workers know. Because of her shelter environment, some things are not known about Nancy:  how she rides in a car, how she behaves around children, etc.  However, her overall personality is that of a dog who wants to learn things and be with people.   If you want to know more about Nancy Drew or make an appointment to meet her, please contact CARE St Louis at adopt@icarestl.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 2:31 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact stephodellbc@hotmail.com for more information about this pet. Meet Crimson Crimson is a 4-year-old Mini Aussie × Border Collie mix who’s as beautiful as she is complex. She can be very suspicious of unfamiliar people and will need a calm, patient, and dog-savvy adopter who understands how to build trust slowly and gently. Crimson still shows some behaviors that reflect her uncertain past and can act a bit like a feral dog at times—she’s cautious, easily startled, and unsure how to respond to new people or environments. But once she decides you’re one of “her people,” her loyalty and affection shine through. She absolutely adores those she trusts. She is a flight risk and will require a securely fenced yard. Crimson is crate-trained and house-trained, and she gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats. She will thrive in a secure environment with a fenced yard and a patient human who understands her need for a little extra time to adjust. Crimson is searching for a special person who will give her the patience, stability, and love she needs to feel secure. Once she knows she can trust you, she’ll show you just how affectionate and devoted she can be. Open your heart to this gorgeous girl, and you’ll gain a loyal companion who will fill your home with quiet joy and unwavering love. Fostered in Plymouth, IN Please contact stephodellbc@hotmail.com if you have any questions about Crimson.  You can complete an application to adopt Crimson or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org .    *** The potential adopter will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 2:31 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact stephodellbc@hotmail.com for more information about this pet.  Maeve Fostered in Plymouth, IN ~2 Years Old | Smooth Coat BC × ACD Mix Maeve is a striking black-and-white girl you can’t help but notice. Maeve is a soft, thoughtful dog. She can be cautious with new faces at first, but she warms up with a little time and space. Once she feels safe, she’s affectionate, loyal, and loves being close to her person. A 45-minute car ride would most likely be enough time for Maeve to become comfortable with someone. She may always be a bit suspicious of unfamiliar people, but she settles in quickly and does very well once she knows you. She’s crate trained and housetrained, rides nicely in the car, and does well with other dogs (especially calmer companions). She’s an easy dog to live with once she understands her environment. She’s also great for handling — fine with baths, nail trims, and being touched all over once she’s comfortable. Maeve has a strong instinct to chase squirrels and may rush toward unfamiliar people, so a secure, fenced yard will be important to keep her safe and help prevent unwanted situations. Maeve at a glance: • Beautiful black & white coat — total eye candy • Crate trained & housetrained • Cautious with new people, but warms up reliably • Affectionate and loyal once she knows you • Good with other dogs (prefers calmer companions) • Rides well in the car • Needs a home with a secure, physical fenced yard • Has not been tested with children Maeve will do best in a patient home that lets her settle in at her own pace. Once she does, she’s an easy, devoted companion and a really special dog to have by your side. Please contact  stephodellbc@hotmail.com if you have any questions about Maeve.  You can complete an application to adopt Maeve or any of the dogs on our website at  www.comebyebcrescue.org  .    *** The potential adopter  will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 23, 2026, 10:20 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jesse, a young Border Collie about 2 years old, is up for adoption through the Midwest Border Collie Rescue in northern Illinois.  Jesse is a terrific boy who hasn't gotten the attention he should because he is a bi-color smooth-coat BC, which may seem unusual to some.  (However, smoothies are the best when it comes to coat maintainence, you should know!) Jesse is being fostered in northern Illinois and MWBCR says that he is truly a gem of a dog:  loyal, smart, loves to learn, gets along with all other dogs, not over-the-top in energy level, and with great house manners.  He's very treat and ball-motivated, which would seem to make him an excellent candidate for dog sports.   If you're interested in meeting or learning more about Jesse, please reach out to Midwest Border Collie Rescue about him. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact stephodellbc@hotmail.com for more information about this pet.Meet Nimbus – Bright, Loyal & Ready for Adventure! Nimbus is a 1½-year-old Border Collie (neutered male) with a big heart and an even bigger love for his people. Nimbus is not the kind of dog who will be comfortable being taken into busy social situations or expected to casually meet new people right away, and he will do best with an owner who understands his need for thoughtful introductions, space, and advocacy. With people who respect his boundaries and help him feel secure, Nimbus has so much love to give. While he can be cautious with strangers at first, once you’re in his circle, you’ll have his whole heart — and plenty of snuggles.  He’s a social butterfly with other dogs, loves daycare, and even gets along well with cats. Nimbus rides nicely in the car, walks great on leash, and has participated in obedience class, proudly earning his AKC STAR Puppy Test certificate — proof of his smarts and eagerness to learn! Nimbus has been diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia, but it hasn’t slowed him down one bit. He still enjoys playtime, training, and all the fun that comes with being a young, active dog. If you’re looking for an affectionate companion who’s loyal, playful, and ready to keep growing with you, Nimbus may be the one.  Please contact stephodellbc@hotmail.com if you have any questions about Nimbus.   Please contact stephodellbc@hotmail.com if you have any questions about Nimbus.  You can complete an application to adopt Nimbus or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org .     *** The potential adopter will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application. Story
We’re not sure about Veronica’s backstory, but we know that she’s likely been through a lot. It seems as if someone wasn’t always very nice to her because she shuts down in some situations. But she does want to be right with her person, following closely on their heels. We think Veronica is about 6 years old. She is a gorgeous Australian shepherd with a gentle personality. While she is recovering from heartworm treatment, she still has energy and wants to play.  Veronica is deaf and has limited vision. She’s very smart and has learned several touch commands including “good girl” and “come.” She is learning to walk nicely on a leash and is housebroken. She sleeps nicely in her pen overnight. Veronica would do best in a home with a friendly dog to help give her confidence. She does not like being left alone for very long, so she’d love someone who is home most of the day. She’d love an active person because she loves to explore and go on adventures. She’d prefer a physical, fenced yard to keep her safe. This sweet, beautiful Aussie is being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##2378212##

Story
One of our detective pups, there’s no mystery about Kojak. He’s full of silly puppy energy and sweetness. This Australian shepherd loves to play, play, play. He thinks other dogs are fantastic, loves all his toys, and always wants to cuddle with his humans. Kojak is hearing impaired and is learning hand signals to communicate. He’s a very bright pup and is already learning “sit” and “down.” He is fantastic with kids and really just loves everyone. Kojak is doing a great job with potty training and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He’s getting the hang of crate training and walking on a leash. He does really well in his crate overnight, settling down right away with no complaints. Kojak would love a home with another playful dog or two. He’d thrive with someone who is active and not gone all day. He requires a physical, fenced yard for safe zoomies. Kojak is a very happy, very sweet puppy who really loves to play and be around his family. He has beautiful blue eyes, really soft fur with such pretty coloring and markings, and has a funny little tuft of long hair near his shoulders. Kojak is being fostered in the Fort Collins, CO area. Story
Dade is an incredibly handsome 4yearold AKCregistered Australian Shepherd who believes snuggles are life’s greatest joy — though stuffed toys come in a close second. He proudly carries them around like they’re his babies. This bright boy already knows several commands, including sit, down, touch, and watch me. He walks beautifully on a leash, has excellent house manners, and is fully potty trained. He’s also crate trained and settles in nicely. Dade’s only “work in progress” is his enthusiastic hello when meeting new people — he’s just that excited to make friends! He’s looking for an active family who will take him on walks and adventures. A physical, fenced yard is a must so he can stretch his legs and show off his impressive speed. This handsome pup is being fostered in the St. Louis area.
