Nancy is a young Australian cattle dog who would just love to sit on your lap and be cuddled all day. She’s smart and full of personality with spurts of play time then lots of chill time.  Nancy is about 3 or 4 years old. She is completely house trained and is excellent in her crate. She’s good on a leash and knows several commands including “sit” and “kennel.” She is particularly motivated if treats are involved! Nancy loves other dogs but can get pretty rowdy when she plays. She would be great with a dog buddy as long as the dog is accepting, playful, and not easily offended by silly antics. One of Nancy’s favorite things is to talk to all her favorite toys. Nancy needs a home with a fenced-in yard and would prefer someone who has herding dog experience. Nancy has trouble navigating stairs and needs a home with no steps. No kids under 10 please. He is a cutie with plenty of personality. Harley was found abandoned in Cairo, Missouri. He weighs 28 lbs. He runs fast. He could be good at agility, herding or your running partner. He is affectionate, with soft fur and likes to be near you. He has a low maintenance coat. Walks well on a leash. Never messed in his kennel. Harley has also spent some time at Zen Farms for training. He travels well in the car. He does let you know when he needs to go out either by going to the door or whining. He has never chewed on anything that was not his. I already have 2 Golden Retrievers and 2 is my limit. I rescued this little guy, got him healthy and neutered and he is now ready for his forever home.

Story
Gabriel came to us from a rural shelter in the Carolinas. This young dog had been seriously injured after being hit by a car. The impact broke his leg and caused his eye to pop out. Although veterinarians were able to save his eye, he wasn’t able to see out of it, so it eventually had to be removed. He has recovered quickly from that procedure as well as surgery to fix his leg. Although Gabriel is only a couple years old, he totally acts like a puppy. He is extremely curious, energetic, and playful, but also loves to snuggle. He adores playing tug, thinks chew toys are fantastic, and has a blast with stuffed toys and his Jolly Ball. Gabriel is doing great with potty training and is working on leash and crate manners. He’s a quick learner and knows sit, kennel up, and hush. He is goofy and can be rowdy, but he totally wants to be a good boy. Gabriel is good with dogs that like to play as hard as he does. He needs a home with a fenced-in yard. He’d be fine as an only dog or would have fun with a well-matched dog pal. He’d love a family who might be interested in dog sports or other fun activities and who will spend time continuing to teach him how to be a great dog.  Gabriel wants to play and wants to be loved and cuddled. We’re not sure about Veronica’s backstory, but we know that she’s likely been through a lot. It seems as if someone wasn’t always very nice to her because she shuts down in some situations. But she does want to be right with her person, following closely on their heels. We think Veronica is about 6 years old. She is a gorgeous Australian shepherd with a gentle personality. While she is recovering from heartworm treatment, she still has energy and wants to play.  Veronica is deaf and has limited vision. She’s very smart and has learned several touch commands including “good girl” and “come.” She is learning to walk nicely on a leash and is housebroken. She sleeps nicely in her pen overnight. Veronica would do best in a home with a friendly dog to help give her confidence. She does not like being left alone for very long, so she’d love someone who is home most of the day. She’d love an active person because she loves to explore and go on adventures. She’d prefer a physical, fenced yard to keep her safe. Handsome Martin is the perfect mix of Australian shepherd and corgi. He has the brains, the looks, and the personality. This 3-month-old puppy was orphaned with his sister when his mom died tragically. He was bottle-raised and is now a sweet and loving puppy who certain adores his people. Martin’s favorite thing to do is play with toys. He is good with other dogs and is doing well with potty training, crate training, and walking on a leash.  Martin is deaf and has quickly been picking up loads of hand signals. In days, he learned sit, treat, stay, come, and kennel. He’s brilliant and eager to learn more. Martin would love a home where someone is around much of the day. He would prefer a physical, fenced yard so he could have safe zoomies and adventures. Martin absolutely loves his humans and wants to be held close and snuggled as much as possible.
