Story
Meet Snap! This one-year-old bubbly border collie mix is one lovey dovey dude! He's 50 pounds and is ready to be the best friend you could ask for! Snap has spent time in a home environment and we are excited to share all we have learned about him. House-trained and crate-trained, Snap aims to please! He's affectionate and outgoing with everyone he meets! He's a master snuggle baby and won't hesitate to find a comfy place on your lap to enjoy. Snap is a smart guy who will thrive in an environment where he will receive continued training and lots of daily exercise and mental stimulation. He is a very capable boy and sits nicely for all sorts of treats. A fenced-in yard for him to enjoy is a must due to his prey drive and he promises to keep your yard free of those pesky squirrels! Snap enjoys the company of other pups and could do well with a canine companion. He's a fan of soft squeaky toys and after a fun-filled day, he sleeps quietly through the night. Based on our evaluation, we feel Snap will do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages 12 and up. He may have the capability to live in a home with other dogs of a similar energy level and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. Someone with breed experience who can keep him active and engaged is preferred. If you think he sounds like the guy you've been searching for, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our sensational Snap!

Story
Hi there! My name is Bingo, and I’m a playful, happy-go-lucky boy looking for my forever home! I absolutely love attention and being part of the action. Whether it’s playtime in the yard, a game of fetch, or just soaking up pets and belly rubs, I’m your guy. I have lots of energy and would thrive with an active family who enjoys having fun as much as I do.I’m a smart cookie, too! I already know how to sit for a treat (especially if it’s a tasty one ??). I’m still polishing up my manners, but with some consistent training and guidance, I know I can be the best boy ever. I’m eager to learn and would really benefit from continued training to help me grow into a well-mannered companion.I enjoy playing with other dogs and would love a canine buddy who matches my playful spirit. Because I can be a bit bouncy and enthusiastic, I would do best in a home with older children who can handle my excitement. I’m also looking for a cat-free home, as felines just aren’t really my thing. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, smart, and affectionate pup who’s ready to learn and be your loyal sidekick, I might just be your perfect match.Come meet me — I can’t wait to play!If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $100!
