Story
Well just look at gorgeous Jani! She is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 62 pounds. Meet Jani, so wonderful with the most soulful brown eyes, just looking for a safe and loving forever home. She is a calm and reserved girl with a curious mind, always thinking and observing the world around her. We fear she may not have been treated with the love and care she deserves. She flinches at loud sounds, and it takes her a little while to trust new people and has evidence of fly bites, indicating that she may have been left outside for long periods. Despite her apprehensive nature, she will be such a loyal companion to someone she bonds with. We believe that with time, patience, and gentle care, Jani will flourish and let her beautiful personality shine. If you're looking for a faithful friend to share quiet moments and a loving home, Jani could be the perfect match. She needs an understanding adopter who will give her the time and attention she needs to heal from her past trauma and build trust. In return, she will offer a lifetime of devotion and companionship. She would love it if you came to meet her, she is ready for someone to love her. Jani will need an adult only home with her shy, cautious nature and more of a calm, quiet, predictable type home. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Jani would love to meet them. She has a friendly, loose approach with other dogs, but she is honestly more interested in engaging with people. She looks to you for safety and reassurance, especially once she trusts you. If you are interested in Jani and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Beautiful ladies looking for a new home. They were not a planned litter. Getting mom fixed for them and helping find these two girls new loving forever homes. Mom is a working herding farm dog. They were born and raised in a barn but their kids played and took care of them. Very social. They didn’t have the time or space for 9 puppies. They were born 5/29/26. They are up to date on shots and have been wormed. Freya is mostly brown and Frankie has more white and raccoon eyes. Their mom is an Aussi/Collie mix. The sweetest mom ever. The dad is their neighbors handsome shepherd, who came over to play and ooops. They said he was a medium size shepherd. 50-60 pounds. We are guessing these girls will be 30-40 pounds. To meet them call/text 586-855-6119. $200.00 adoption fee.

Story
This baby has a magnetic personality and a lifetime of love to give. He is gentle and affectionate, and smart as a whip! He'll be solving algebra problems soon if you let him! He's: * Super sweet and kind * affectionate and cuddly * very friendly * willing to play at the drop of a hat Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!
