Story
Meet your future best friend, Beanie Baby 🐾✨ This puppy is a perfect bundle of energy, curiosity, and irresistible cuteness—but like all puppies, Beanie Baby is still learning how to be the best dog possible. Continued basic training will be needed, including leash skills, crate training, potty training, and everyday manners. With a growing body and a busy brain, puppies need structure, enrichment, and positive outlets for energy to prevent overstimulation, mouthiness, or the development of unwanted habits. A home committed to consistency, patience, and mental and physical exercise will help Beanie Baby grow into a confident, well-balanced adult dog. With the right foundation, the possibilities are endless! 💛🐶 -Around 3 months old -Currently under 20lbs -Good with kids, cats and dogs -Adoption fee: $400 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. We usually respond via email within 24-48 hours; please check your spam folder if you don't hear from us. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Meet Snap! SEE FOSTER UPDATES BELOW! HOUSE-TRAINED, CRATE-TRAINED & LOVES OTHER PUPS! This one-year-old bubbly border collie mix is one lovey dovey dude! He's 50 pounds and is ready to be the best friend you could ask for! Snap is currently living it up in an amazing foster home and we are excited to share all we have learned about him. House-trained and crate-trained, Snap aims to please! He's affectionate and outgoing with everyone he meets! He's a master snuggle baby and won't hesitate to find a comfy place on your lap to enjoy. Throw in a belly rub and he's yours! Snap loves the company of other pups and would make an excellent pal for your family fur baby. Give this energetic guy a rope toy or ball and he'll be as happy as can be! He's a rockstar in the car and on leash. He's ready, willing, and able to join you on all of your adventures! Snap is a smart guy who will thrive in an environment where he will receive continued training and lots of daily exercise and mental stimulation. He is a very capable boy and knows multiple commands including sit, stay, heel, come and off. A fenced-in yard for him to enjoy would be ideal due to his prey drive, but we may consider the use of a tie out if he was receiving a high amount of exercise to meet his needs. After a fun-filled day, he sleeps quietly through the night. Based on our evaluation, we feel Snap will do best in a very active home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. He may have the capability to live in a home with other dogs of a similar energy level and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. A home free of cats and small animals is required. Someone with breed experience who can keep him engaged is preferred. If you think he sounds like the guy you've been searching for, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our sensational Snap!

Story
This wonderful 1-1/2yr. old dog is named Oreo. He is a very affectionate mixed breed Queensland Heeler Collie. He loves the outdoors. He loves his chew toys. Oreo’s owner is 78yrs. old. She’s had Oreo since he was a pup. On 4/21/26 she had a stroke & was hospitalized. There is none she can leave him with. I myself am a senior who lives in a senior home that does not allow pets. This heartbreaking detail leaves her no other choice but to pray we can find dear Oreo a good person or family. Someone out there do consider this glorious dog. He is faithful & will bring anyone who takes him in great joy & happiness throughout the years. Thank you.

These pups are in Fenton, Michigan too!

Story
🐾💛 This sweet pup is still figuring things out 💛🐾 Like many young dogs in a shelter environment, Miss Lulu is showing some big puppy emotions and is still learning how to feel safe, secure, and confident in the world around them. At this stage, they’re still building trust, boundaries, and understanding that good things don’t have to be protected or “kept safe” on their own. Right now, they can be a little “I don’t like to share yet” when it comes to valued items, which is just part of them learning how the world works—not a reflection of who they will become. With time, structure, and positive reinforcement, this is something that can improve as they gain confidence and trust in their people. With a patient adopter, a consistent daily schedule, and reward-based training, this pup has all the potential in the world to grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. Clear expectations, calm handling, and steady repetition will help them feel secure and learn how to make better choices over time. What they need most is not perfection—but guidance, consistency, and someone willing to invest in their growth. In the right home, this pup will absolutely thrive and develop into a loyal, loving dog who finally feels safe enough to relax and shine. 🐶✨ -Around 3 months old -Currently under 25lbs -Good with kids, cats and dogs -Adoption fee: $400 This dog is currently housed at our shelter. If you are interested, please come in at your earliest availability during our open hours, no appointment necessary. We do same-day adoptions, do not hold dogs, and work on a first-come, first-served basis as long as it is an excellent fit for both parties. If you have questions or want to possibly schedule an appointment on one of our closed days, you may email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com.
