I am incredibly snuggly and love curling up in my bed after a fun day of play. I am playful but gentle, with a big love for toys—especially a good game of tug-of-war! Give me a sturdy chew bone and I am one happy pup. My foster mom says that I am highly trainable, eager to please, and already showing how quickly I learn new things. Darling is a smaller cattle dog/Shepherd mix born in January 2021. She came in as a stray with another dog. Darling gets along ok with dogs smaller than her, but not so well with bigger dogs. Darling is very smart and aware of everything going on around her. She loves people and loves attention. Darling was adopted earlier this year, but her new mom had to move to assisted living and Darling couldn't go along. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. Darling is eager to find a new family and start a new life - would you like to be her new best friend? All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only. Abby is a breeder release Aussie born in January 2020. She is sweet and friendly, gets along with other dogs, doesn't mind cats, and loves people. She is a lovely dog who is looking for her first home EVER and is so excited about it! She keeps a clean kennel, rides well in a car and walks well on a leash. She would be a wonderful addition to any family.
