Story
PENNY LANE is a gorgeous 9ish month old mixed breed puppy looking for a home. This girl is an absolute ray of sunshine. She loves everyone she meets, loves to play, is great with other dogs and fine with cats and kids. Our best guess on breed mix is rough collie/beagle plus a few other breeds mixed in. She has a soft medium-length coat. She's currently 47 pounds and may will likely be in the 55-60 pound range when fully grown. Penny Lane is very active. She loves to run and play and needs a physically-fenced yard and another friendly, playful dog sibling. She's housebroken and crate trained and loves her toys and chewies. If you'd like to meet Penny Lane, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter.   All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Serena - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! I is a loving, affectionate, and well-mannered young gal. I am approximately 1.5 years old and weighs in at around 60 pounds. I am sweet and friendly and always has a wagging tail and an adorable smile. I am very treat-motivated and playful, and loves my toys. I would make a great addition to an active family where I'd get to tag along on all those action packed adventures. From leisurely walks to pawsome sniffari's, everything is an adventure worth taking!! We don't know yet if I am good with other dogs, as I'm a new arrival to the rescue. But we do know I would love to go to a home where I can get lots of love, affection and play time! If a sweet addition up for all your daily going on's is what you're searching for, well gosh, look no further, I'm your gal!!

Story
Give a warm welcome to Blackie! Blackie came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Blackie is a 1-year-old, neutered male Collie Mix. Blackie is a little shy at first but does warm up over time. Blackie shown us that he loves treats and really enjoys being outside. Blackie is learning to walk on a leash and doesn't seem mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Blackie did great for his nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 33.4 lbs. where he was given Bordatella, parvo/lepto/distemper vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and is heartworm negative. Our adoptions are $100 cash/local check only. Our visiting hours are Monday- Friday 8am- 11:45am and 1pm- 4pm. We are located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville OH. 45331. You can reach us at 937-547-1645.

Story
This is my neighbor dog, she needs to rehome her and his dog brother because she lost her job, and she is also very sick. Annie is a great dog but needs more attention and care than the one the current owner can provide. Annie had a litter of 10 puppies last end of December, so she urgently needs to be neutered. She is very sweet, good with other dogs and with kids. she is house trained and very docile.

Story
Forgive me for being a negligent foster mom and allow me to introduce you to HALLIE (knows Stella). ?? This sweet 14.5 yo senior collie mix, about 55 pounds, was returned to SAAP after 6 years through no fault of her own.  What I've learned about Hallie so far:  ? Housebroken,  ? Enjoys her crate but doesn't need one, ? Loves walks & her person, ?/? Low energy: fantastic if you're looking for a dog to quietly keep you company, but not a good fit if you're looking for a companion to join you on epic adventures ?/? She is said to be good with kids but not cats, however, I have neither.  ? She was quite interested & curious when seeing a bunny hop by on our walk, so maybe no small prey in her future home would be best. ?/? May be dog selective. While she was not enthused at all to meet my 8yo male resident dog who is half her size (teeth bared by both on opposite sides of the baby gate), she was happily enamored to meet & follow my neighbor's 7/8yo male dog who is twice her size along the shared fence line. ? I'd recommend no or very minimal steps for Hallie. I have only 2 for her to climb into the house and she will struggle sometimes & is a bit stiff when rising from a nap. Likely a bit of arthritis in her legs. If Hallie sounds like she may be a good fit to live out her remaining years in the comfort of your home, please consider submitting your adoption application at AdoptAStray.com or replying to your approved app with her name.May 28, 2024, 3:43 pm
