Hey y'all, my name is Pilot (I was found on the tarmac at the Houston airport!!). Welcome aboard ladies and gentlemen, this is your Pilot with information about our flight to getting me a home. We are expecting calm and clear skies, perfect for those action packed adventures, a long smooth runway for our takeoffs going for leisurely strolls and hiking trails and no turbulence is foreseen for the near further, so buckle your seatbelts, folks, we're in for a pawsome ride!! I'm around 2 years old and just a big ole mush, loving my people of all sizes. I'm all for going on daily adventures, anything from leisurely strolls to action packed adventures. I enjoy it ALL! And you'll get to enjoy cuddle time with ME when we're done for the day! Ooh Ooh, how fabulous is that?!!! I come in at somewhere around 60lbs of loveableness, 60lbs of snuggles, 60lbs of turn you to a pile of goo when I give you my puppy dog eyes, 60lbs of kisses and tail wags. Now tell me that's not just the best size ever!!! I do great with most other pups I've met but haven't been cat tested yet. I am also house trained. Good with kids, dogs and housetrained... that's a pretty great bonus for my new family. I'd love to be your 'Pilot' for any and all our adventures, making sure we arrive safely at our destinations. A great 'Pilot' is only as good as his 'co-pilot', so maybe we can fly high... together!!!

Forgive me for being a negligent foster mom and allow me to introduce you to HALLIE (knows Stella). ?? This sweet 14.5 yo senior collie mix, about 55 pounds, was returned to SAAP after 6 years through no fault of her own.  What I've learned about Hallie so far:  ? Housebroken,  ? Enjoys her crate but doesn't need one, ? Loves walks & her person, ?/? Low energy: fantastic if you're looking for a dog to quietly keep you company, but not a good fit if you're looking for a companion to join you on epic adventures ?/? She is said to be good with kids but not cats, however, I have neither.  ? She was quite interested & curious when seeing a bunny hop by on our walk, so maybe no small prey in her future home would be best. ?/? May be dog selective. While she was not enthused at all to meet my 8yo male resident dog who is half her size (teeth bared by both on opposite sides of the baby gate), she was happily enamored to meet & follow my neighbor's 7/8yo male dog who is twice her size along the shared fence line. ? I'd recommend no or very minimal steps for Hallie. I have only 2 for her to climb into the house and she will struggle sometimes & is a bit stiff when rising from a nap. Likely a bit of arthritis in her legs. It’s time to  reintroduce  LENNY! Lenny is an almost 1y collie mix guy! He is ~30-40lbs and is likely full grown. He is crate and mostly house trained, but will bark when he wants out of the crate. Lenny just completed training with  Pawlished Dog Training LLC  and is finally ready to start his hunt for his forever family! If you think Lenny might be your new addition, we ask that you have the following criteria met before applying:  live in a single family home—no apartments, condos, multi family units have a fenced in yard—Lenny is timid in new places and has a flight response. To keep him safe and secure, a fence is a non-negotiable requirement have at least 1 other confident, playful dog—Lenny adjusts better to a new place and continues to gain confidence when in the presence of other dogs; being a single dog household will not be considered as this is not the best fit for him be patient—Lenny has spent a majority of his life in a shelter and while he’s came a long way, he is still adjusting to being a dog and a teenage pup at that! be committed to continue professional training—due to Lenny’s past, he requires continued confidence building, and as the confidence arises we suspect we will see normal teenage dog behaviors arise which will require additional training to work through and overcome these and to continue helping him be the best version of himself If you check ALL the boxes, submit your application online at  adoptastray.com  or reply to your approval email requesting a meet and greet with him!         Dear SAAP- we are hoping for a hero/miracle/special needs adopter for Suzie. Please read below   The purpose of this post is to find Suzie a home. I’m all about quality of life and if I thought for a second she didn’t have one, she wouldn’t be up for adoption. She is a happy pup). Suzie (collie mix) was born into our home on Dec 14. She had a wonderful mommy who gave her extra attention. It was evident that she was much smaller than her siblings. What wasn’t evident is that she would have trouble using her back legs. She’s been evaluated as she continues to grow- and the conclusion is that her back leg use is a neuro issue. She may grow out of this or she may not. No ortho or pain issues. We are trying to obtain a wheelchair or other assistive devices in the meantime. What can Suzie offer you as an adopter? She already knows “sit” No climbing on the furniture No jumping on guests If she runs off you can catch her easily &zwj;&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143  In all seriousness, Suzie is a happy puppy that absolutely loves people , dogs and cats. There is another surprise as well: during her spay she was found to be a girl on the outside but a boy on the inside. Either way, she’s fixed . And yes, her name was Suzie before we learned it could be a boy named Sue.   Suzie is playful and happy, and full of love and perseverance. Mowgli is 5 and a half years old and we have had him since he was a puppy. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to give him the time and attention he deserves. He is a loving, fun and curious dog with plenty of energy. He loves being outside and the water, but also won’t hesitate to cuddle up next to you when in the house. He is house trained and can easily last the day without accidents. He does well with large and small dogs. He does well with children and has watched a two year old grow up from infancy. He was neutered at a young age and is chipped and all vaccinations are up to date (including kennel cough vaccine if you ever need to board him). We also have his genetic testing with a break down of all of the different breeds he has (there are several although he most resembles a larger border collie). He is about 60 pounds. We are heartbroken to have to re home him, but we know there is a family out there he can make very happy.

Frannie is short for Francis or Francine meaning 'free woman'. And that's just what I am. BUT I'm now more then ready for the family life! And I've got a new lease on my life and plan on filling it with fun, living life to the fullest qualities that come with being a family pup! I came from a local shelter where I was on 'the list' just for being short of space. I'm learning for the first time what's it like being in a loving place where as I am pretty mellow for a youngster, I can now not have a care in the world to also be active and playful. I'm doing well on learning the ropes of family life and being all I can be!! I come in at about 29lbs where I should be as my adult weight. A pawsome size for well...everything. I'm big enough to enjoy all those action packed adventures but small enough to also enjoy those cuddle times with you. As a youngster at only 11months, I will need that daily exercise and playtime but with that in I should do just fine in town with a yard, out in the country or anywhere in between. I love people and do great with other pups making me a fabulous candidate to be a 'silbling' to another playful pup or I'm good with getting all the attention as your one and only! My beautifully colored short coat makes for me being easy peasy in the grooming department. An occasional bath, brush and nail trim makes me ready at the drop of a hat for all our adventures!! Whoa, pretty pawsome, huh! Being that youngster I'm always ready to be anything from being your sidekick to your cohort in crime! Your sidekick to be by your side but your cohort that won't tell a soul if you want to sneak out for a little one on one adventure!! I can be all that and a snuggler to boot! Can I be YOURS?!!!
