You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Greetings!!  If you’re looking for a best friend, look no further.  I’m Cheeko, and I'm a super fun guy. I am just 2 years old and I'm listed as a collie mix - probably with some husky in me, too! I weigh approximately 45 pounds. I am house trained and never have accidents when I have access to the doggy door. I'm super ready to find my forever family! First thing's first....have you seen those ears?! Oh my goodness Bronco's ears are one the many amazing things about him! He is not only extremely adorable, but he is also treat motivated, dog friendly, affectionate, and has such a sweet personality. Watch Bronco's video here: https://youtu.be/tiY_pz9y2Mk?si=anupQwyqfW_PrDaT Bronco is believed to be a a cattle dog mix that is currently 7 months old and currently weighs 31 lbs with room to grow. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Bronco is currently in a loving foster home and loves to play. He loves toys and his happy place is next to you getting belly scratches. This handsome boy wants to be your very best friend! Bronco is also very dog friendly and is currently fostered in a multi-dog home all ranging in sizes and personalities and he gets along great with all of them. Bronco has even been around dogs that are more reserved and shy around other dogs. He is so gentle and mindful of the fact that they might be ready to be his friend yet. He loves to give sweet little face kisses and takes corrections well from other dogs if they aren't wanting to play. Bronco also is great around small dogs too. He shares treats and affection around other dogs, no jealously with him. He knows there's enough to go around. He is a young fella and would do best in a home with another medium energy playful dog that is looking for a new bestie. Bronco is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Bronco's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67f52071293addcfb505e894 Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
Let me introduce you to the warm soul we call George, He has a comforting presence. George can come off a little reserved at first, but that’s just because he’s not the type to push for attention. He’s the quiet kind—like a best friend who’s always there, steady and grounding. George has all the traits of a loyal, loving dog and he is ready to find himself at home. What stands out most about George is how easy his company is. He’s slow and steady across the board—whether he’s meeting new people, walking on leash, hanging with other dogs, or encountering a cat.. Based on his look and temperament, we think he may be a Kelpie/Shepherd mix, estimated to be around 4 years old, and he weighs 50 lbs. As with any rescue, we can’t say with total certainty on age or breed, but he is fully-grown size so we can testify to how perfectly midsize he is. George is so fortunate and is being fostered in a loving home while he waits for his adoption day and this not only gives us a front-row account to hi personality but he also gets to learn and master the best house manners while he waits. His foster has praised George for how well he rides in the car- laying in the back peacefully, only perking up once they have arrived. He is also both house and crate trained! We loooove that! George lives with both cats and dogs in his foster home and he gets along well with them all. We spent an afternoon with George outside of his foster home to get a feel of his play style and approach to new dogs along with observing him meet a new cat. The first thing that jumped out was just how politely George meets new dogs on-leash. He showed a little excitement when he saw the first dog, it was contained but obvious, he was happy to meet a possible playmate. With each additional dog the approach was the same, neutral and calm. Although he never found the perfect playmate to really let loose, he was easy company and is dog-friendly. The most natural pairing was with a female, similar age to him, with a sense of confidence and bouts of playfullness. If going into a home with another dog, that would be almost exactly the type of dog he would be best with. Dogs like George, who come across as reserved, are often naturally independent, confident and content with their own company. Another quality we love! Even though we know George lives with cats we love to see a dog in a new environment, meeting a new cat to get a grasp on what that could look like once he is arriving in a new home. He was introduced on leash and he was curious but respectful and calm. As the cat got more animated and jumpy playing with a toy, George definitely thought it was an invitation to play. He obviously can live peacefully with cats but we all know, cat personalities are a variable. If joining a house with a cat(s), it would be best if they were dog savvy. He will respect a swat and may need one to mind a boundary. George would do great in a home with a yard, if for no other reason than his simple joy of laying in the shade on a patch of green grass. It is heaven to watch! He has great basic leash skills with a nice pace but a hectic, busy environment might throw off his vibes. Basically, the busy environment of elevators and lobby are not for him. He could do it, but we can see he isn’t much of a busy city guy. The same goes for family-life, he could do it but he has really been spoiled by a foster home with the occasional 20 something year old kid coming by to do laundry. In other words, empty-nester? Not with George! He is ready to fill your time with good company! Invite this boy home to peaceful place and a patch of grass, with a doggie friend and a cool cat and George will be there to take it all in—his pace and by your side! If you’ve got room in your life for a gentle heart and a quiet companion, George is ready to bring calm, sweetness, and unwavering loyalty into your world. Questions? Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Story
Oh my ears!!! Meet the cutest little girl this side of the Mississippi! Meet Poptart! With ears that fold like those old-school fortune teller paper games from elementary school, sometimes resembling delicate little praying mantis hands, Poptart is impossible not to fall in love with at first glance. She’s the kind of pup who warms up gently, but once she feels safe, her soft heart shines through in the sweetest ways. Treats and booty scratches are the keys to her affection, and she’ll quietly inch her way over for both, never demanding, always patient with those puppy eyes in full effect. Even though she is young, she has the best docile demeanor. She isn’t pushy for affection or attention and just waits patiently to be adorned on.She’s a perfect little princess and will make her new family so incredibly happy! We believe that Poptart is a Border Collie mix of some sort around 1 year old and weighs approximately 35 pounds. She is a petite little thing that has the softest coat and most gentle kisses. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed are our best guess and cannot be guaranteed. But that’s what makes rescue so fun! It’s so rewarding to adopt a dog and give them a life they could only dream of! Check out Poptart here: https://youtu.be/Lj451VHtil0 Poptart has lived with an 8-year-old child and their bond is something special. She followed her everywhere, always wanting to be nearby, proving that she’d make a wonderful family dog! Especially in a home with gentle, dog-savvy kids. With other dogs, she prefers to observe rather than dive into the action right away. In the yard, she was a little shy with our resident pups. The pushy ones made her a bit uncomfortable when they would run up hot and heavy to her face, so she would gently move out the way so they could play. She was more of an observer than a participator. But at her foster home, she thrives in doggy daycare where she is comfortable with all the puppy friends. So she will just need some time to warm up to her environment. A home with a medium-energy dog who respects her pace would be the perfect match to help her continue growing into her confidence. Cats are very intriguing to Poptart and it would be best if she was in a kitten free environment! She’s incredibly smart and very treat motivated, already showing off her skills like a pro and sure to pick up more with ease. In the video you can see her already mastering her sit! Whether you’re looking for a companion to train, travel with, or simply sip coffee next to on a sunny patio, Poptart is your girl. She is calm and composed during car rides, perfectly content in her crate, and simply a joy to be around! She would do well in a home or in an apartment. She just needs a person to love her. There’s something beautifully charming about Poptart. She doesn’t ask for the spotlight, but she has a way of stealing your heart just by being near. She’s ready to find the family who will help her feel safe, loved, and appreciated! Does Poptart sound like your future bestie?
